It's an absolutely gorgeous day here!  Dd and I went to my aunt's for lunch.  She brought her gkids back from the Netherlands for a month.  We spent the afternoon there.  When her gkids and dd were younger, they had weekly play dates.  We have dgd for the next few days.  More on going drama, now this time it's stepdd #2 and her husband!  They split up.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun Fourth of July!

Hello Critter Chatters.  I tried to log in about an hour ago but it kept telling me I had the wrong password.  So I just restarted the computer and went to bring in the laundry.  As you have surmised I can now log in.  Wierd.Hmm

DH and I are going to his parents house shortly.  My FIL is having a surprise retirement get together for my MIL.  They live in Newprt, NJ about 45 minutes from here.  He picked a crazy evening to have it.  July 4th is probably the busiest weekned at the shore.  On the way home we will be stuck in bumper to bumper traffic I am sure.  I bet it will take us twice as long to get home.  This time of year it takes a bit longer to get around the roads and run errands or shop.

Tomorrow there is a get together at my grandmother's house. She lives right on the bay.   We will be barbecuing, swimming, tubing, jet skiing, sailing, clamming, crabbing, etc.  Tubing is especially fun.  My uncle hooks a raft at the back of his boat and pulls us around the bay.  He tries as hard as he can to knock off the tube.  I purchased my clamming license the other day so that I can dig a few clams.  Maybe I'll make clams and linguini for DH this week.DH has to work but I think I'll go over by myself anyway, if I am feeling ok.  I am feeling kind of drug out the past few days and my stomache has been bugging me.  I probably just need to slow down once in a while.

I'll pop in sometime tomorrow maybe before going over to Mom Mom's house..  I hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend!  God Bless!

Oh no!  I hope you don't get dragged/sucked in too far!

Hi Alby!  It's been pretty pleasant here today too.  A nice breeze, mostly clouds, but some sun too.  Tomorrow it's suppose to only be 72!  Now I'm glad I'm not hosting the party since it seems it will be too cold to swim.

Hi Kozy!  I like your pics.  You have a great holiday too!

Happy 4th to everybody if I don't make it back here.

Nothing special here except in my heart where I am gratefull I live in a country that has freedom and independence...Its been rainy and cool here all day but the weather man promises a good day tomorrow..If the weather is good they may have fire works at the park which is just 4 or 5 doors down from my house..If they do I will watch them from my porch..Kozie and Dozie mostly ignore fire works..Or at least they have in the past. You can never tell about Dozie..

I had a small bird get into the house night before last. Dozie chased it around as I tried to get it to fly out the door. I had to contain the critters before I could open the door so the critters would not escape. I thought I had the critters inside and the bird on the porch so I opened the porch door.  BUT I could not see the bird on the porch. So I went back in the house. And there was the poor bird and Dozie with a smile on his face..I felt so bad but Dozie did what he is supose to do..Saved Me...

Never a dull moment in this Kozy house.

Kozy, I think I have that one topped!  Dh found a baby mouse downstairs.  He called us downstairs but didn't say why.  We got down there and dgd was asking him what?  he said look by your foot.  It was a baby mouse!  She went right over and picked it up.  She said he was hungry.  So I got some milk and tried to feed it using a syringe.  As many of you know, I hate, hate, hate mouse.  He found another one in another room in the basement.  So they are now living in a cardboard box with a cloth in the bottom.  Dgd talked dh into bringing them upstairs and she now wants to put them on the bed.~sigh~  She said she's their mother now and she's never going to let them go~double sigh~

Nan, it sounds like you'll be having an action packed Fourth of July!  Sounds like fun too.  I have to confess, the only time I have eaten clams was in clam chowder.

I hope you are feeling better, Nan.

Oh, she sure was!  She went over there June 12 and came back on Monday.  A friend was supposed to go with her and help her bring the kids back but the friend had to cancel.  She said if she had known the friend couldn't go, she would have brought the kids back sooner.  They were so glad to get back to the states.

Evening all!  Just taking a break between preparing dishes.

I have a bird story too....

Dh and I pulled into the driveway today and he said, "Look, a baby bird just landed on the edge of the windshield."  Oh my!  It still had the wispy little feathers on it's head and it was just looking at us through the window.  We had the dogs in the van so I didn't want them to notice.  Trees cover our driveway so I didn't know if it fell out of a nest.  I got out of the van and it was just sitting there, in disbelief, it seemed!  No sooner did I walk up to it and it flew up to a branch in the nearby tree!  That was so cool.  I've never seen one as it was learning to fly.

Jan, you are a better mom/gmaw than I am.  Baby mice?? Does that mean mama is going to be looking for it's offspring? Yikes!!

Dh is giving Sammie a much needed bath right now.  A bath and some Benadryl should ease her itchies.  We've decided to leave them here and the same girl that took care of them while we were on vacation, is going to come over and let them out and feed them.  That's one less thing to worry about.

    Take care all!
