It is interesting what two major news networks used as their on screen banner this afternoon.  CNN said Palin resigned.  Fox News said Palin announced she will not seek re-election.  It seems Fox was doing their best to minimize the damage (IMO).

Two wrongs don't make a right. This was about Palin.

Yes...but then, why is Bush brought into nearly every discussion we have on Obama around here? Anytime any one says anything that doesnt paint Obama in the brightest possible light,Bush is brought into it. Yes two wrongs dont make a right, but fair is fair.

    Alaska_Prof:
I didn't say a thing about her parading her children around.

I know. I was using your question as a bases for my previous post. I didnt mean for it to sound as if I were directing my commetns toward you.

And every time something was said about Bush, Clinton was brought up.

Thanks for saying why you like her.

Carol Brady was a good mom, but she wouldn't have made a good governor!!  I know a fictitious character but there are a lot of good moms out there & they wouldn't have made good governors either.

I'm seriously trying to figure something out.  In this speech or statement she made today, she said something about the way the media treated Trig.  Not going to debate anything, but where did the media go after Trig except to wonder why she continued to bring him & all the other children out on the stage?

Was there something else that I missed?

But Fox didn't, even when they were talking about her leaving office early.

I should add that where I was this afternoon they had CNN and Fox both on next to each other.  That is why this was such a striking difference to me.

I was answering AKP's question as to why I like her,not giving reasons as to why I think she was or was not a good governor.  She's not my governor,so I cant answer that question.

I wondered about that, too. I haven't heard a thing about Trig since the election, and even back then the only thing remotely negatives was about HER when she was pregnant with him---about her being careless when it came time for delivery. And then there was the whole 'Is Trig really her baby' nonsense, but once again that wasn't about him, it was about her.

Speaking of Trig... I thought one of the funnier moments in her speech was when she said she asked her kids for their opinion about whether she should resign, and she said she got 4 yes's and one 'Hell, yeah!'. Hmm... so I guess that means that not only can Trig talk already, but he even comprehends that his mother is the governor and what all that means.

Linda Kellen Biegel, a liberal Alaskan blogger, put her children back in the spotlight but this time, the focus was on Palin’s special needs child, Trig, who suffers from Down Syndrome.

A blogger who supports the Alaskan Democratic Party, Biegel superimposed a photo of Alaskan conservative radio host Eddie Burke over baby Trig’s face.

In a statement to CNN, Palin spokeswoman, Meghan Stapelton said:  “Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love for a special needs child. The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling.”

i watched the video. it semed like there were 12 people in the audience, and they were all family.  Huh?

ROFLMAO! If that isn't classic Palin. 'Desecration of a photo'. That's hilarious! As if that's the first time anybody's superimposed a celebrity's face somewhere. And duh--that's an insult to the radio host guy and HER, not to whoever's body his face was plastered on.

She never misses a chance to point out that she's a loving mother of a special needs child, though, does she? She even used a photo that she's supposed to be insulted by as a photo op!
