I received my second packet in the mail today from Pamela (kitchenhelperky).  I recieved a cheese ball recipe as well as recipes for chocolate chip and sugar cookies.  The 5 can corn casserole is a recipe that sounds good-its one I had never heard of.  And a broccoli casserole that is a little diffrent from the one I have made in the past.  Thank you so much for the recipes.  And it game in a nice green envelope-great for the christmas in July theme.  Thank you again.

    Angie!!

You are so sweet!!! I just thought you were one of my July recipe partners. Thank you sooooo much for the recipes and letters. You will be receiving a letter in the mail very soon! What a nice surprise and a horrible day. I could barely walk the day I received your letter. My sunburn was came very close to being 2nd degree burns...and my legs and feet are still swollen and sore a week later. You sure brightened my day! I can't wait til this Christmas to try those....but I doubt I can wait that long.

Just so I haven't confused anyone. Angie was one of the people I sent to this month. When I got her letter I assumed I was her partner as well. Nope. She's just very kind. Angie read my letter I sent her and since we are obviously both Christmas NUTS....she wanted to write me back and send me a ton of recipes for Christmas and some canning ones too. Isn't she sweet????

Sorry I haven't posted sooner, but I've been pretty busy.  I received my first set of recipes for the July swap from Alice (alice050player) and I am really excited to try them - especially the Crab and Bacon Roll ups and the Cheese and Sausage Balls.  I received a nice letter revealing a little bit about Alice on guess what?  Christmas paper!  Very festive and a great idea!

    The recipes I received are:

    Veggie Wraps

    Cheese and Sausage Balls

    Crab and Bacon Roll Ups

    Russian Dressing Sauce

    Crab Mousse

    Thanks Alice!

Hi Micah P You are so welcome, my favourite one is the crab and bacon roll ups I make them and freeze them once they are cooked and cooled, they freeze very well, I have to make them when no one is around or I don't get to freeze any, ENJOY.

I received a package from Eloise Wright yesterday.  The recipes sound great.  I am making the Ham, Beans and Potatoes today.  The other ones will follow, I may do the Watermelon Slushies today also.  I think the GS's would like them.  Thank you so much. for the little towel, stickers and the Christmas card.

Re: Christmas In July Recipe Swap - RECEIVED!!!

First, let me apologize to both my partners this month for not coming on here Wednesday, the day I received both of your packages.  Micah P and Andrea_OH, I'm sorry.  You see that was the day we moved.  I put both your packages in my purse so I would not loose them and now that we are settled in (yeah, right...it will take months to open all these boxes ;-)  I had finally a chance last night to open them both and read your letters and the reasons why you sent the wonderful recipes that you did.  Both of you sent blank Christmas recipe cards.  Thank you.  These will be used as part of a Christmas Recipe Book I am putting together for my DGD.  Who knows, as I try your recipes, I just might copy them for her too.

Andrea, your first recipe exchange was great!  Loved the cute pictures...recipes sound good too...Brandied Cranberries?  I just might not wait for Christmas for those! Say hi to Sweet Pea, Smoky, and Spot from Star, Sparky, and Edward :~)

Micha, My DH just loves Fruit Coctail Cake...I haven't found the box I packed my recipes in yet, so he'll be in for a surprise this week. The Creamy baked Chicken doesn't sound bad either and I think I can adapt it to my slow cooker...even better.

Thank you both again and until I find my recipe box and books, you know I'll be trying your recipes, LOL !

Re: Christmas In July Recipe Swap - RECEIVED!!!

May I first just say how wonderful it is to go to my mailbox and receive fun things along with bills and junk mail?  Yesterday, I opened my mailbox to find an adorable Christmas card from Lisa (herbtea123) and a very nice note.  I likewise have 2 children (Ian, almost 7 and Collin, 3) and have been married to my husband Carlton for over 10 years.

What else was in the envelope you might ask?  Six recipes that look great.  I'm not sure which ones I will try first, but they will all be in my repertoire from now on (along with those that I received from Rachelle earlier)!

Thanks for a wonderful package, Lisa!
