Re: Christmas In July Recipe Swap - RECEIVED!!!

I just received five great-sounding recipes and a nice personal letter from Marcie (MissM_Home).  The recipes for Lime-Scented Carrot and Cumin Salad, Ranch Pasta Salad, Katie's Lasagna, Marcie's Breakfast Puffs,  all look good and are definitely on my To Try list.  I am most intrigued with the recipe for deviled eggs, as I have never seen a one that includes crushed cracker crumbs!

    Thanks, Marcie!

    Hello,

This month has been really crazy for me as I moved.  Now I have 2 mailboxes to check.  I have not received any recipes but I am so glad Laura and Lynn got the ones from me. I hope you thoroughly enjoy them.  I love swapping recipes with others.

    Have a great day!

I received my first set of recipes today from Betty Lou (blouey). Thank you so much! Your recipes sound delicious! Strawberry White Chocolate Cheese ball, apple roll ups, sweet potato pie, microwave fudge and Elvis Presley cake. I love pineapple, so do my kids, so I think that will be the first one I make.

Congratulations on your grandson! My boys are 6 and 5 (tomorrow) and call my Mom Gigi. They call DH's mom Nana. Personally I like Gigi. My grandmother died before I was born but my brother called her Noni. Let me know what you or your grandson decide. My DH is from outside PA Amish country. We've been up there a couple of times and it's so beautiful there.

    Thanks again for the recipes!

A big thank you to the 2 ladies sending to me- herbtea123.  I recieved both of my recipe yesterday.  I thought it was funny that they came to me on the same day.  I am so excited to begin trying out your recipes and I thought it was so neat to get recipes from such different areas.  Thanks for all!

Recipes were waiting in the mail box for me yesterday from Mary Jane (mj05)----of course the loaded oatmeal cookies caught my eye first off, followed by the Penne ala Vodka----these will be my first to try.  They all look great---thanks so much.

Marcie - The first part of July I mailed two envelopes of recipes.  Only one person (Alice050) has acknowledged receiving the recipes.  Do you know if Stacy (pregnant) received the envelope I mailed to her?

    Thanks!

    Diana,

Sorry for not responding to both your posts sooner. Things have been crazy around here. I'm so glad that you received your recipes! When it was so inexpensive to send them, I was afraid that I was sending them wrong!! The deviled eggs are very unusual, but my mother has ALWAYS received raves about her eggs and she swears that the crackers are the secret. That's also why it's necessary to refrigerate the egg filling before stuffing them. The crackers soak up the flavorings and give it a different texture. Enjoy!

As for the second set of recipes, I haven't heard anything from her. I'll send her an email, but for the most part I figure that if they aren't complaining about not receiving, then they must have received!

(She was one of the people I sent to). Anyway, just wanted to let you know. I recieved from Laura and Sharon. Thanks Marcie! You do a great job with this swap!!!
