    Good Morning Everyone!!

I am all confused here with the days.. Yesterday I thought was Sunday...I guess things just seem strange now. We went in to see Mom last night, who is restless, antsy and was sitting in a huge wheel chair...too big for her. I pushed her up and down the hallway a little, but can't take her off the floor.  When she gets to PineCrest, there are areas outside where we can go and also nice visiting areas to take her.

I have a fresh pot of coffee all ready for you all..Grab a mug and lets hope we all have a wonderful day.

    Hugs,

    Mary

    Mary – When will they do the surgery on your mother? I'm so sorry you all are going through this. {{{hug}}}

Deb – Were you busy at work last evening? I think some cook-outs were rained out here yesterday.

It is cloudy again this morning. But it is supposed to clear up later. I will go to the fireworks tonight if it is cleared up.
I saw the ad at the top of the page for free shipping from Blair, so I decided to go shopping. I had picked out two things, but I didn't get free shipping. I emailed them and they said they aren't responsible for what other companies put on the ads. So I didn't complete my transaction.

Mary, nice that you could take mom for a spin down the hallways!  Pinecrest sounds like a nice place, and with summer here, it will be nice to be able to sit outdoors with your mom.

Joyce, wasn't the ad from Blair?  That is just ridiculous that they would not honor the ad.  Who else would advertise for them?  No, we were very slow last night.  But, we expected it, so we just went with it.  1st shift was busy enough for both shifts, and 3rd shift probably did more than normal.  Not sure what to expect today.

I just finished cleaning the house, so now I can sit and relax until it's time to get ready for work.  Kind of sunny/cloudy out, but very nice temps.  Sure is nice having the windows open all day long and not having to run the C/A.

    Have a wonderful day .

    Morning Group!

Wanted to pop in to say "Hi"! We got back from South Dakota last night after 2 days of driving in pouring down rain! Visibility at times was horrible. The drive & entire week there was beautiful thankfully!

MARY: I read a few of the posts & wanted to let you know that your Mom is in my prayers.

Well, I need to get busy. Got to unpack, start laundry & go to the grocery before the days over & it's already 12:40 p.m.! We slept in pretty late this morning & have just been sitting, drinking coffee, in chairs that aren't going 70-75 mph!

    Have a great day!

Joyce, I don't know when they will start the testing for Mom's breast lump.  With it being 4th of July weekend, which is not a good time to get sick and have to go to the hospital.  I think more things will be happening on Monday or Tuesday.  I am sure the doctor will have a surgeon take a look at the lump ASAP.  I will keep you all updated as to what is happening here.

Just got home from sitting in the hospital for 3 1/2  hours...LOL  It feels good to be home. The house is amazingly quiet without the TV on all day...LOL I am going to make Ron and I a nice dinner.

Re: DC Conversation - Weekend, July 4-5

    Hi all,

Well, I'm home from the craft show and trying to cool off.  Oh Joyce, wouldn't it be fun to be close enough to do things together?  As I said, SIL didn't go (although she was in church this morning), and when I called, found out DD#1 had to work today, 'til 6:00pm.  She had traded days with another girl, but will consequently have Mon. Tues. and Wed. off.  So I went alone, but it wasn't all bad.  I found a parking place fairly close by, and then was lucky enough to find the booth I was really interested in ~~ and yes I purchased a pendant and a bracelet.  I wasn't even gone 1½ hours!!!  Of course if someone had been with me, I would have spent alot more time looking around.

And, how lucky is this:  due to a fractured wrist that wasn't set correctly, my right wrist is quite large ~~ and we couldn't find a bracelet large enough to fit me.  The lady said no problem ~~ I picked out a pattern I liked, and she is going to make a bracelet especially for me!  She wouldn't take any money until we are sure that she has one for me that fits.  Besides the bracelets, she also had rings, pendants and watches.  I would like to also have a watch and ring, but will wait for that until we get the bracelet just right.  I couldn't believe the low prices she had on all the pieces ~~ the pendent was only $18, and that included the chain.  All the silverware is antique sterling silver, and they give you a polishing cloth with each purchase.  As you can tell, I was impressed.

At church this morning, we found out that ALL the 4th of July activities were postponed until today.  How smart was that?  Today is absolutely gorgeous; it is bright and sunny with a temperature of 78°.  Just what yesterday should  have been.  DH helped set off the fireworks for 30+ years, and really enjoys watching what he was never able to see before (he always had his head down!!!)  I'm guessing we'll probably go out tonight to see the beautiful display.

Mary, it sounds like your Mom is receiving excellent care, but am sure sorry to hear that she will need breast surgery.  My DH never wanted to spend any amount of time when I visited my parents ~~ so I learned very quickly to go alone if I wanted to stay any length of time.  It was interesting to hear that Ron reacts the same way.  I hope you know that even if I don't mention your Mom, the three of you are always in my prayers and I will be following the posts.

DH has been mowing the yard ~~ think I'll go out and see if he's starting to get hungry.  We each had ½ of our steaks left from dinner yesterday, so think we'll have some delicious sandwiches tonight.  Then, if we do go to the fireworks, we will follow our usual habit and take a large bowl of popcorn and a couple 'pops' with us and make an 'evening' of it.
