Re: JULY 4th HOLIDAY Grannie Chat

Happy 4th of July to the grannies. It's raining here and a work day for me at the hospital, so doesn't feel like a holiday to me. My grandchildren from Ames went home yesterday, so only Lexi is here. Quiet when I got home from work yesterday. My daughter Jenn has had a flu bug for a couple of days and got up to go outside and passed out in the driveway, feeling a little better last nignt. She insisted I go and watch her brother umpire his first large school base ball game, did, and now am aching all over this morning from sitting on the bleechers. Other sis stayed home with her and we called to check on her during the game. Cell phones are great. Son did well, so expect he'll be moving up in the ranks, his goal is to get to the college level as that will give him more opportunities as they play ball already in March. I hope everyone has great holiday.SF

Happy July 4th and good morning to all my grannie friends

DD has to work early this morning so Jameson will be here at 7:30 and stay till about 2:00 then DH and I are going to friends to celebrate the 4th.  I also have to make my appetizers for the party, but they are simple ones and won't take long.

Hope you all have a wonderful day, whatever your plans and I will try to stop back later

    Good morniing, grannies.

      HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

KATHIE, love your waving flags. I have some in my front planter and they are waving in a gentle breeze.

SHARON F, work may be a respite after entertaining the family. Hope DD Is feeling better. She didn't get dehydrated, did she? Wonderful that DS is doing well with the umpiring.

GLEE, have fun with Jameson. I think he needs a little flag to wave or maybe some red, white and blue streamers on his stroller.

    Amen to that, MA.

I know the grannies will be celebrating the day in their own way-----some with family and picnics and some in a quiet manner. We will grill and visit with neighbors.

    God Bless America!

Good morning and Happy Forth of July to all of you.  Our get together was a lot of fun.  Some chatted, others played cards but we all ate!!  There was about 40 or so of us there.  The fireworks weren't anything spectacular but it was a good time.

GRAMMY  I bet you did a pretty high step in the parades.  Oh my, those were the days.

    GU  Enjoy Jameson today.

APPLE  Good morning !  I hope the weather is nice where you live.

MA  I agree with your little saying.

CP  Will you be with family and/or friends today?  Have a good celebration.

ATV  Will your DH be fireing up the grill or is that the neighbor's job this time?  Will there be lobster?

SHARONF  That had to be scarey for you and your DD.  I hope she's ok and will get well soon.

Tonight the family will be going to Red Lobster for supper, then back here for games.  What a weekend and we love it.  God is so good!!  A year ago today, I was in the hospital with my first episode of Atrial Fibrilation.  BBL

    MusicWhile the storm clouds gather,

    Far across the sea;

    Let us swear alleigence,

    To a land that's free.

    Let us all be grateful,

    For a land so fair;

    As we raise our voices,

    In a solemn prayer......

    God Bless AmericaMusic

Good morning!  I'm lazy today.  Had everything done yesterday by this time and this morning, well, I've got a lot of prepping to do and be done by the time DH calls.  I will then go down and meet him, we will have our meal and then go to WM.

It is nice and sunny, the windows are all opened back up and I'm beginning to get hungry.

I've got to get a load of laundry done.  Went to DD's last night as they had mountain pies around the fire and then smores.  Their dog (siberian husky) loves me and I'm always proof of it when I leave there.  She insists on sitting by me and leaning against me, then if I don't pay attention to her she will stick her head up between my arms.  So when I leave I'm hair from head to toes.

I have to get eggs on to cook and also lima beans.  Then make the prep for the mac salad and strawberry delight.  Busy, busy, busy.  But a good busy!

    Gotta move, bbl.

Good Morning and Happy 4th of July to everyone. Apple I see you got that greeting done bright and early this morning. I do have my flag out but don't plan to do anything special today. I may check to see if there are any fireworks around sometimes they have some in Hesperia and that is a nice little drive for us. We will see. Coffee is done I am having my first cup. I have done my testing and have good numbers so the day is off to a good start and I have chatted with Jeff so now I can get to work  again. Never ending isn't it Ok I had lots of interuptions and seem to have lost my ability to get back to the post so guess I will send this one along and try again .

Good morning and Happy 4th of July to all.

We are off to a wet start this morning. Showers off and on in the morning but clouds all day. Last night Mark said he would like to go to St Cloud and snoop around. I think he is just hungry for Red Lobster and it just so happens to be in St Cloud. hehehe I have nothing on my to do list so I'm free to go anywhere or do what he wants to do today.

Sorry so short but I really need to get in the shower!!!

Have a wonderful day and enjoy the freedom so many fought for. God Bless our service men and women

    Love and hugs

Sharon sounds like you might have a few peaeful days at your house. Glad your DD is fine and that the game went well also. I have only passed out once in my life and that was enough LOL. Sorry you have to work today but it is a good reason not to do a lot of cooking LOL . I have not had a hot dog in so long they sound really good to me but are not good WW food.  Dang I opened it wrong again or this sight is being a bear cat  not sure which . It won't let me go back I will try one more time before I pull all of my hair out  in frustration .

Re: JULY 4th HOLIDAY Grannie Chat

Good morning everyone. It's trying to sprinkle here and it's only 68°. Gary and the neighbor have kept up the tradition of going fishing on the 4th. I think it's the first time this year that they have gotten out.

    Apple love the flags.

Sharon work is going to seem pretty calm after all of the visiting. Hope DD is feeling OK.

GU what are you making for appetizers?

MA that's so true. Our freedoms have never been free.

Nancy enjoy the visiting with neighbors.

    Grammy the parade sounds nice.

Stylist glad your get together went so well. A year ago today I had just gotten home from my kidney surgery. We both remember a year ago and I know how much God has given us to appricate.

Justme my DH has never had a "smore" and I just can't talk him into trying one. Glad the "puppy" likes you so much.
