MJ, the skeeters get me thru the spaces in the lawn chair. And, then I don't look very lady like scratchin' my backside.

Grammy, one of my neighbors was the majorette for the Green Bay Packers years ago. And, her daughter was a champion twirler. In fact the daughter was Miss WI and twirling was her talent.

Greenback this parade route is so long along the main st right to the center of town. People are spread out so far it wasn't crowded. Mostly "mature" ones that stayed for the music.

I didn't do anything today - napped this afternoon for about an hour.  I did make that salad that I got the receipe from the tournament.  Also, I did post the 2 salad receipes in separate posts this morning.

I don't know who told me that way back when but Itried and it never worked. I chased birds witha salt shaker too. That did not work either but it kept me out of the grown ups hair for awhile. One time I did catch a blue jay it must have hit something and been stunned because it eventually pecked me and I  dropped it and it flew away. I thought for about a minute of two that I had a new pet. I used to catch little toads and frogs by the buckets and try to keep those also . It did nto go over very well . A child by herself will find entertainment .

I really haven't noticed the skeeters here -

We use to go to a parade in DH's home town a few years.   And often would go to the fire works, somewhere near here.  A young couple got married today and are having the reception where DS did, and said they were having fireworks - I don't think I will be able to see them from here though.

Hi Mary I generally read the current days posts but if I am gone and miss a day or two I don't go back unless it sounds like I missed something then I will look for it. I would be reading forever.

I don't really know what is in a waldorf salad I  have never made one or eaten one.  It might be the same who knows. We were never into fancy foods as a kid salad was either tossed or coleslaw or potato LOL none others need apply.
