Good night grannies, Well the 4th of July is almost over. I can hear the fireworks as I sit in my kitchen and desk. My daughters went to watch the fireworks with their brother and his GF and I'm home with Lexi who's sleeping. I watched part of the White House celebration and decided to check in with the grannies. So tired after work that the girls decided to fend for themselves, while I rested. The first time I never prepared a holiday meal. Kind of thought they could have done some prep work while I worked, but not. It rained until about 3 PM, so maybe no one was in the spirit. Actually we had a potuck at work with brats and potato salad, etc. Good, even though it was a last minute thing. My daughter is all bruised from her fainting episode, but seems OK, will keep an eye on her. GD Lexi looked cute in her navy blue/white outfit with stars. Daughter got a great smiling picture of her and will email it to her dad, the marine. Today seemed like Sunday, because it was so quiet at the hospital. I'm bumed because I have Sunday to work and picked up Monday as well, unless they don't need me as the hospital census is down. Hopefully the porch work will begin Monday, so that's something to look forward to. Next week will be busy getting ready for son to arrive from NY. My dining room table is full of stuff looking for proper places. Probably won't use the room for dining, but need the excuse of company to pick it up. Also want to take down the sheers in my master bedroom and wash them. My new summer bedspread and shams look fresh and inviting. Well, I am long on conversation, guess I'm lonely kind of lonely tonight. Sleep well and sweet dreams, ladies. SF
