Well sorry that you are getting rain today BJ.  We seem to have escaped it for now.  Woke up to sunshine.  A bit breezy but that should help to dry things out.  Thinking about grilling a steak for DH and I this evening.  Not sure if I will make macaroni salad to go with it or just a good old baked potato.

Good morning BJ and all, happy 4th of July to you all.Don't forget to fly your flags todayI've had my coffee and breakfast of sausage patty,biscuit,hash browns and scrambled eggs.I don't have much planned today,just kind of restful type of day.It's going to be well above 100 again but they are saying we have a 50% chance of rain tomorrow.(crossing fingers) Don't know what's for dinner yet but I have plenty of time to decide. Off to clean the breakfast dishes.BBL Depo!!!

BJ,  We are having the same....showers, but they are supposed to be out of here by late morning......I hope so for the sake of all the folks that have worked so hard to bring this event to the people.

Remember my statement yesterday morning....and I quote  ".........I am on a mission.....well, let me tell you, it was "Mission Impossible."  When I finally went to bed last night at 11:00, I still had pans soaking and the vacuum to run.........I have the pans finished...need to run the vacuum, and then maybe I can start on me....I look like the wrath....at least the food is ready and I delivered the pies to the church last night at 10:30......

I hope I can get back to catch up on everyone........hopefully, I'll grab a minute mid-morning.

Good Morning BJ & Everybody!

Sorry that I was MIA last night, I went with DH & Joe to the bar and I ended up having a couple Jack Daniels' Downhome Punches and got home after you were all in bed.  Oops!  I'll do better tonight.  

It's gonna be a sunny one here today with temps in the lower 80's, perfect!  

I'm not sure what the plans are for today, just hope that they're something exciting!   Like THAT'S ever gonna happen!  LOL  Then again, the race is on tonight instead of tomorrow, so that's something to look forward to!   I might just start shaking people out of bed around here though as I want to go up the street for breakfast this morning, I'm pretty sure that I hear a cheese omelet calling my name.

I hope that you all have a nice, relaxing day today.

Happy 4th of July to All!

 I wish each of you a wonderful day however you plan to spend the day today.  It looks like our weather is going to cooperate - no rain.  We always get some rain on the 4th of July so this is really nice not to have to worry about it later when we're watching fireworks.

I need to get busy in the kitchen and make a salad and a dessert.  We are going over to a friends house for a bbq - they have lots of family over and they always include our family too which is so nice.  They have a pool and there will be ping pong & lots of stuff for all of us to do plus tons of food!  Later this evening we go with our family & friends and head to our downtown area where there is a fireworks display - it is always packed with people.  From there everyone comes back to our house and the kids light off fireworks (all the legal ones) and we sit around and watch them and then have to clean up the big mess!!!

I'm not sure if I'll get back on later - I will try but if I get too busy I may not be able to.  Enjoy your day and I'll be thinking of all my special friends here and wishing all of you a great day!

Diane, ouch, 11:00?  I couldn't make it past 9:00 last night. But I'm glad you got most everything done and can now semi relax today. Our rain is supposed to turn to thunderstorms around 11:00 and last all day. Good day to pack.

I am a mess this morning!  I'm trying to think of what I want to do today and my mind is going in a thousand different directions!  I THOUGHT that I'd like to go to JoAnn Fabrics today as they have a big sale - not that that matters, I just want to look at some patterns anyway so I could go any day.  Then I thought that I really wanted to start getting my stuff together for a garage sale and decided that I have a blood drive to get through first, then I thought that I'd maybe clean my closet - but considering that a ton of stuff would be put in the garage sale and with no place to store it until then, nixed that idea.  Now I'm thinking that maybe I should either find something to sew or make some greeting cards.  Good grief - I just can't focus today!  Maybe I DO have ADHD aferall!  LOL  I think that I'll just go make a piece of toast and wander out in the yard for a bit to see if I can get my ducks coralled and put back in a row 'cuz this day is just not going to work if it keeps going like this!
