Good morning and Happy 4th to all of you.   We have been out for awhile now painting, doing attic work etc.  I'm also watering flower gardens.  Have about 2 to go,   Have a nifty little sprinkler that goes in all directions and so I can shape it to my gardens.  Girls will joins us for dinner, of Holly will come if she gets enough sleep before then.  She is on nights last night, tonight, Sunday.   Will have hot dogs, succotash salad (new recipe) and corn.  Need to go pick raspberries soon.  To be a sunny breezy and mid 80's day.  Not bad.

    a GREAT 4th of July!!
    God bless you!!

    Good Morning June friends!

We're having a slow morning here, drinking coffee, etc.. Oldest DD is away for the weekend, youngest DD still sleeping.

Heard from my sister just before bedtime last night, their pastor who has the H1N1 flu took a turn for the worse and they weren't sure he'd make it thru the night. The congregation quickly met at the church to pray and around midnight he took a turn for the better. Today he's running into problems again. How scary to think that a young, strong man can be so affected by this horrible flu.

Hope you all have a great day GFs! It's great to celebrate a wonderful country to live in!!

Happy Saturday ~ Happy July 4th ~ Happy Birthday America!

Phwew!  I've got everything all ready and now am sitting and relaxing.  You'd think we have a huge bunch coming with all the food I made..lol...

I grilled the brats (dozen) and hamburgers (18) earlier this morning and they are now in the crockpot with beef broth and water over them.  The beans are in slow cooker.  The fresh fruit salad and the chicken/wild rice/grape salad are in frig chilling along with the chocolate eclair torte for dessert.  I also will have chip and relishes.

My gf just called, she and her "friend" will stop by too now!!  Yeah, more people to eat all this food.   That reminds me, I need to get the lawnchairs out.

Royce is out in his shop, he built a huge closet in his shop to put all their fishing and hunting things in.  He's out there sanding the drivewall where he taped it.  He plans on getting the primer on it this weekend.   lol.. he looks like a snowman covered in all that drywall dust. Hope he plans on getting in shower soon so he ready when our guests arrive!  grr..men......

Well, I hope everyone has a funtastic day.  The boys are anxious for fireworks tonight.

    Give thanks

Hello Ladies. HAPPY FOURTH of JULY!! It's another beautiful day here, and it's been a busy one. After having our first cup of coffee this morning, dh and i decided to go to BJ's to pick up a few things we needed. BOY, I'm glad we went early because the store was so busy. WE have a change in plans for today. Originally we were going to go to the outlets like we did last year, but decided to stay home and have our own little cookout. I've been busy cooking since we got home. I already made a tossed salad, but I have to mix the potato salad when I finsh posting. We will also have hot dogs and hambugers on the grill, and for dessert, cherry pie and ice cream.  I also changed bed sheets. They are already dried and put away. With the nice breeze, they didn't take long to dry on the line.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday!
    Sending HUGS!
    Denise

Re: June Cleaver Club Saturday 7/04/09 Happy 4th Of July Everyone

I think Lisa might have gone to the lake. I sent her an e-mail but she may not have checked her e-mail before she left. Work was uneventful. I am still struggling about this court thing. This is just so ridiculous. Will call the lawyer Monday and see if there is anything I can do to speed the mortgage company up but that won't help this situation.

Dowie, that is so scary about that pastor. You know my goddaughter who almost died...it turned out that was what she had as well and I didn't know until later after it was all over that the day they airlifted her to St Joe's she had gone into respiratory arrest and coded on the table at the other hospital. It seems to not pay attention to age like the other types do, but it sure is a horrible variety of flu.

I'm still not completely for sure what I am having for dinner. No company, so I might have leftovers or if I get ambitious might go to the store and get a couple things for salads...or I might make the dorito casserole

Hope you are all having a nice fourth of July.

My tooth has really been bothering me today. I woke up at 2:30 am in pain and couldn't go back to sleep so will probably try to get to sleep early tonight. I had even taken a Vicodin too.

Need to work on some laundry. Want to swim not too long after it gets dark before another storm comes up. Had to do a lot of skimming yesterday because the neighbor threw his grass clippings in the community trash which is right behind my pool and left the lid to it open and then a big storm came and I went out to swim and had a pool full of grass. GRRRR.

Re: June Cleaver Club Saturday 7/04/09 Happy 4th Of July Everyone

Good evening ladies,  We are back from our little camping trip.  We decided to drive back this evening since we had to be at church tomorrow morning early.  The dog was a basket case last night with the few firecrackers that went off so we figured we would get a better night's sleep at home.  Enjoyed the day at Pioneer Park in Walla Walla, then took a drive to Waitsburg and Dayton.  There are a lot of dry land wheat farms in that area and lots of rolling hills.  We saw an historical scene I guess you would call it.  80 life size metal silouhettes of the Lewis & Clark  Corps of Discovery.  The silouhettes are placed in the area they were supposed to have camped on their return trip back to St. Louis in May of 1806. Wish I would have had a camera, but dh and I are famous for never having a camera when there are neat things to take pictures of.

Sherry, hope you are able to get your tooth taken care of soon.  Dowie, that is awful about the pastor.  It seems like at first the media were making that swine flu out to be worse than it was, but now they don't seem to be reporting much about it at all we keep hearing of people that have it. Jill, glad you were able to get some windows painted and berries picked.

I will say goodnight.  Margie, hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.
