Good Morning Ladies & Happy Fourth of July - -

Sorry to hear such sad news this morning, Mint - WIll be thinking of your family.

Nothingplanned for the day - will talke it as it comes - right now, I just took a load from the washer and moved to the dryer.  It rained over night and is a gloomy morning, but I think it's suppost to get sunny later in the day.

Maizey, you and your family have been on my mind so much and as always, in my prayers.

I hope you gals in the real heat wave are managing okay - It really wears on a person after so long.

Hope you are all having a nice holiday weekend.

    Hi Roses!

    Happy Fourth to all!

Diana, I'm so glad you're put back together. Boy, the no computer thing is a pain in the back of the lap! That Steve is one smart dude!

Mint that is terrible news.  So sad for your family. I'm sorry.  Was this unexpected?

Jane, hope you get some sunshine.  I hope you can take advantage of a not so busy 4th and have a kick back weekend.  Give that knee a rest!

Beautiful day here.  Lots of sunshine probably going to be about ninety.  Laura, ask Brian if the Guard is doing flyovers. There have been alot of jets flying over today.  Very pretty but noisy. I love them and the jet trails.  Maybe it's a Fourth thing?

Not much planned....hot dogs for dinner and potatoe salad.  Does it get more applie pie than that? No one is coming over....just us which is really different. We usually have a crowd but a couple of couples are traveling and I thought I'd take it easy this year. Kind of nice!

Does that mean you're leaving tonight, Jeanne?  I didn't realize it was so soon.  Save travels and God bless you!

i posted this earlier in the other room. i just can't open a room yet.

Diana, good to have you back. You're always missed.

Happy Independence Day as Bill would say.

He is still holding his own; maybe even a little better.

Mary Beth and Dave ARRIVED FROM WASHINGTON STATE LAST EVENING.............oops still can't type one-handed. When Bill saw Mary instead of wondering why she was there, he just said to her, I hope you brought scissors ..............that's to cut him loose. he's restrained and keeps begging me for a knife or scissors.

Happy Independence Day to the Rosies!

It is warm again here today.  I have been so lazy!  Don't want to do anything, but of course I have to accomplish something sometime or another.  We spent the whole day at MIL's yesterday.  It was a nice visit.  DH mowed and trimmed her yard (and it's BIG) and we watched a guy rake the hayfield.  The balers are supposed to be there today.  They need to get it done by tomorrow as rain is forecasted for Monday.

Hugs to all.  Have a great 4th!~~~Laura

    Re: JULY 4

It has been 100-105 the past few days.  Sticking close to the fans.  Not much going on here.  There has been music in the park and I have been listening to some of that.  I will grill some pork steak for dinner.  I find that steak gets too tough or I cannot get it done well enough for me. And I hate rare, bloody steak.   am watching some action movies on the Sleuth channel.

Hope everyone gets to watch fireworks.  Be safe as it is very dry and we do not need wild fires.  There are quite a few around the Redding area.

Good Late Evening, Buds!  Well, it was another scorcher here today(no surprise there!)  We were planning on going to the church at 5PM to eat hamburgers & watch the fireworks display, but it was just dadgum HOT!  We went to KFC & as we were siting in there eating, I could see their electronic sign that showed the temp--107*  DEGREES!!!Indifferent  We then ran to the Hattiesburg Dirt Cheap where I found 2 cute tops.  Then we came home to watch movies on the DVD player under the AC!  MINT:  I am so sorry for your loss!  How tragic...  C&BW:  YAY!!!  It is so good to have you back on your own 'puter!  What a smart guy your Steve is!Big Smile  MAIZEY:  Prayers continuing to go up for you & your whole family...  Poor Bill asking Mary for a pair of scissors!  ((((((((((MAIZEY & FAMILY))))))))))  ROMA:  Sounds like you enjoyed a nice quiet evening at home.  LAURA:  I hope that you had a nice 4th.  Did you get to see Hayden???  MARYANN:  Sounds like you are experiencing oppressive heat like we are!  It really is too hot to do anything outside!  JANE:  Did you get some rain up your way???  Please send us some down here!  Waving to all of the Rosebuddies!  HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

    Re: JULY 4

Checking in with my Buds before hitting the hay. Rained here all day too Jane. A slow light rain all day. I'm sure the farmers were pleased... Steve & I went to 2 new to us restaurants today (breakfast & dinner) and were very pleased with both! Then we checked out a couple of car lots (they were closed today witch was fine, we just wanted to look. Then we went to the casino. Hadn't been to a casino since last winter when we went to Vegas from LA... Had fun but lost ~

Maizey, I am so sorry to hear about your Bill! I hope he & you both recover soon! My goodness!!

Jeanne & MaryAnn, that is way too hot!! Have a safe trip Jeanne! I take it your trip south is coming up soon...

Roma, hope you enjoyed your quiet day today. Quiet is just what the Dr. orders at times :) Yep, that Steve has been able to fix our puter every time it goes haywire, thus far... :)

Laura, I'm sure MIL was so thankful to have Brian mow & trim the lawn for her... And of course also happy for your company... The little things mean so much!

Alex is working now 2 or 3 days a week (part time) at a restaurant. She is getting good experience and is liking it and of course liking a few bucks in her pocket... We are also getting her signed up for the fall session at our community college. We are happy she is on the right track!! Now to keep her there... Gianna is just thriving. Smiling (almost laughing at times) and cooing ~ Such a fun stage!

Yesterday Steve & I took Jordyn back to her parents (she was here with us from Wed. to Friday afternoon.) So this way Steve got to meet his newest DGD too! Kendall is so tiny compared to Gianna right now! LOL! Kendall is like 6 lbs 3 oz and is now 20" long. But boy oh boy what skinny arms & legs she has. Too cute tho and is also doing very well... Wow 3 DGD's for us!! We really are so blessed!!

    Sleep well buds ~~~~
