From The Heart Of A 7 Year Old!

While so many had their minds on parades, picnics and fireworks today, little GD (age 7),  had her mind in the right place--the reason for the celebration.

While I had been watering flowers, she had drawn her feelings on a stepping stone:

Thanks, Justcookin, it touched my heart. :) And it was totally "unprompted". She asked her GDad if she could play in the backyard while I watered flowers out front, and she took the chaulk with her and drew her pic. Then she came to where I was and told me she had a present for me. "Come see, Granny!", she said. And you know how us grannies are--I just had to share. ;)

Cheryl, I'm glad I took the pic--we've had severe weather move through tonight and it's probably all washed away now. Love your kitties! That gray striped one on the left looks a lot like ours and she likes to get up in the window and "chase" the birds, too. LOL
