Good morning Kathie & everyone!   Really enjoyed my time alone yesterday, Jake went to my parents and didn't get home til 8 and Tim was at a party from 2 to 9.   I watched movies, and finished my shawl for MIL.

I like how it came out, I just hope it stops shedding soon!    I haven't blocked it yet, I was told it could just be dampened and then hung over the shower curtain rod.   So that's that.   The Karabella Boise is gone except for maybe 5 yards.   I'm going to knit a flower and attach it to a pin and give it to MIL as well.    Honestly, I don't think I'd ever buy this yarn again, unless I won the lottery and could buy it in sweater quantity.

Gorgeous day here today, started off cool, in the lower 50s but sunny and we may hit 80 later.    Won't go too far, but may swing by the farm or maybe go for a picnic.

Kathie, I've started deleting the AC Moore email without opening it....  I've got to knit down my stash, though I may have to go buy some pink yarn to work on some Pink Ribbon Scarves.     I bought the pattern yesterday, my sister is doing a craft fair in October and I thought I could get a few done and donate some of the money to Komen.

Off to get some breakfast   :)

I have thought about deleteing the ACMoore site also but that's just when DD is going..............lol                  or I want to get something other than yarn.  I do want to get another tube of E-6000 glue to make a glass totum; am collecting the pieces.

I'm am reading a book by Beverly Lewis "Summerhill Secrets #1 "  so I guess I'll sit on the enclosed porch for abit while it is quite!  :O)

    ENJOY YOUR DAY!

Jolene, I love the shawl and the colors.

Kathie, I haven't checked out ACMoore site yet. Like Jolene, I need to knit down my stash.

BIL and his wife's baby isn't eating. She was born on the 3rd. The neonatal docs have baby Natalee on a feeding tube and anitbotics. Sad I wish DH and I lived closer to AZ so we could be there. BIL's wife, Joleen (her name is spelled different than your's Jolene) mom is there. I told DH that they need her there right now. As of a couple of hours ago the docs said Natalee should be able to come home in 3 days.

My online computer class will be ending this week. Party!!!Party!!! Still working on the first sock for my brother.

    Morning Everyone

    Jolene that shawl is lovely.

Rachelle prayers for baby Natalee from here.  And your DH is right you would have all kinds of stuff from the garden by now and would be wishing there was a pause button at some point if you can stuff up.  Here the cool weather crops like lettuce is about gone, beets are coming in, peas just finished at one sister's garden.  etc etc etc.  I'm picking wild blackberries now which are just starting into full blast ripening stage.  Where in KY does your DH want to move to?  If he's wanting to be near Lexington there should be plenty of jobs for you that is if my memory is working and you are training for nursing?  Theres alot of big hospitals there and lots of dr offices to go with them.  I'm in the Lake Cumberland area about 200 miles from Lexington which is beautiful but sort of rural.

Finished the Angel Baby Afghan yesterday so today is wash everything day then take pictures when it's all dry and presentable.  Working on baby booties to add to the afghan now at the heel of the first one.  Everything for my sister will be took to her Saturday if nothing comes up.  Then I have 4 or 5 lapghans to make for a gift shop but haven't a clue what to charge for them as they have to be priced low enough for them to mark them up (the proceeds go to keep a restored mill maintained)  I'm guessing the size will be about 36 x 40 or thereabouts.

I'm off of here have flowers to check on before I sit and knit the booties.

Good Morning. Haven't been doing much in the way of crafts or knitting lately.  Except for a few nights it's just been to hot and muggy to try and hold an afghan on my lap to work on it.  I'm still trying to finish up making each of my gkids an afghan.

Jolene that's a very lovely shawl.  I'm sure your MIL will appreciate it and what a neat idea to make a pin out of the left over yarn.

I don't like the new Free Pattern of the Day

The last few days I've gone to Annie's Attic and haven't been able to find the free pattern of the day.  Have they changed their website.  Can anyone tell me how to get back to it.

Margaret, my DH is from Lexington! When he was little they moved to WV. Right now he has aunt and her kids, aunt and her DH and his DGP's live in Lexington. His one aunt is a reciptionist at the UK hosptial. Nursing is my major of choice. I've googled and found lots of job opening is the KY area. MIL and SIL can't believe that I would let DH move back to that area. They both say we won't be able to find jobs. HA! I've found lots for me and DH is planning on going back to school after I get done. I just want to live were I can have veggies already!

BIL and his wife baby is now eating. The neonatal docs took the feeding tube out and showed Joleen how to get Natalee to latch on. I'm guessing that Nat wasn't latching on right and maybe that Jo's milk hadn't dropped yet. (Thinking from experience and classes.) Confused But I did let her know that once that milk comes, she may feel like a milk cow. I did any way..........

Off to go work on something.

Margaret, I'm not sure how much to charge either. One of the nurses at my doc appointment last week, asked if I made purses and socks. I told her I had no idea how much to charge. I've been told to figure out how much the yarn cost and then pricing your time. I have a hard time pricing my time when I like doing it so well.

    HI Everyone Pictures coming soon.

Rachelle glad to hear the baby is doing better hope she continues to do so.  Now that you've googled for jobs in KY your next google should be for somewhere to live.  Best of luck.  That's my problem on pricing stuff is figuing out for my time which like you I find hard to do since I do it all the time anyway.  DH suggested figure the price of the materials then double it for the time.  I also do a search on Ebay to see what stuff is selling for which for me isn't real helpful since the patterns I use are a little fancier than what I've seen but just as easy to make.  Someone else said if it's fancy even if it's easy to add a little extra for that.

Well I'm off of here to get ready for company later today then more blackberry picking this evening.  Made muffins with blackberries in them twice already.

Hope everyone is having a good week!   Been doing a few small projects, was a little burnt out after finishing the shawl.   So far I've done a baby Santa hat and a Christmas tree hat base.   Started working again on my corn hat pattern, but will probably set it aside and do something else.

Summer is going by so fast, cannot believe it's July and we don't even have the ACs in.   Jake's bday is in a month, and we are on vacation the week after that.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

Working on sweater still from that big ball of Bernat Baby Sport. Got one done and on a second one.

Rachelle so glad the baby is doing much better.

Margaret you have been a busy girl.

Kathie thank you for posting that website for Annie's patterns again. I had forgotten to wriite it down.

Well need to get back to work. Have a good day everyone Jeanette
