Good morning all.  I'll serve up the coffee this morning.

Let Mary sleep in.  I'm sure she's tired and needs all the rest she can get.

I'll only be here a minute as I have to take Rudy for lab work and go to town hall.  Forgot to pay taxes...what a duh.  I had check all made out but then forgot about it.  I guess I have money to burn...lol

Great weather here, my kind of weather...Be back later.

Lorraine, I wish we could skip paying the taxes too. When you have so much on your mind, it is easy to forget to do something or other...Hope Rudy's lab work is okay too.

Deb – Yes, the ad was from Blair.  I don't know how they can say they can't control what other web sites put on the ads.

    Mary
    – I hope the surgeon gets in to see your mom early today and they can get moving on the lump.

Sandy – It sounds like you had a really nice time at the craft show.  The bracelet sounds pretty.  I think I have seen those before.  I hope she can get one made to fit you.  How were the fireworks last night?  That's so nice that DH got to sit and enjoy them for a change.

Susan - Welcome home.  I'm glad you had a nice vacation.

Lorraine – I hope Rudy's lab work goes okay.  Good luck at town hall, getting the taxes paid.

The long weekend is over; now it is time to get back to reality.  I did go watch fireworks at the park last night.  They were pretty good.  The weather was very nice.

    Good morning, everyone.

Another nice day starting, a bit hot, but with no humidity, it will be nice.

LORRAINE, you and Rudy were probably to the lab, already. Hope it went well and then------did you do breakfast? Mentioning the tax bill made me get the couple of bills I have to pay and put them on my desk.

MARY, glad you got some longer sleeping in time. Praying you will have answers about mom, today.

JOYCE, it almost sounds like Blair was pulling a fast one. Their site is their site and so is the info. With the holiday over, we all have to get back into the groove, again. Maybe I will know what day it is-----last weekend had me thinking about that.

SANDY, jewelry sounds very nice. I just normally have a big, bony wrist and always need at least an 8 inch bracelet. If I want gold, I usually buy a man's.

SUSAN, the trip went well I see. Nice weather out west, but the rain on the way home was a bummer. Do you have some good photos for a remembering album?

Sending a HI to MARGE, DEB, HAUKE, CAROL and DORIS.

The neighbor visiting continued into yesterday and we were outside most of the day. I can tell I did too much talking, my voice is squeaky this morning. I will have to be quiet most of the day so I don't get laryngitis. Russell is smiling about that. LOL

Hello friends !  I too am worried and concerned about your mother, Mary, and hope, now that the weekend is finally done with, the hospital and doctor's can figure out the next plan for your Mom.   It always seems to take so much time for all the people involved to actually get together.  While the patient and family sit and wait and worry.

I'm waiting myself, dh had a brain bleed suddenly late Friday evening, had to be heicoptered over to Sacramento to the same hospital where he had the liver transplant.  He was in ICU, and it wasn't an aneurysm, at least that is what they think so far, so they did "endovascular coiling" to stop the bleeding.  This all happened early Saturday morning.  My son and DIL drove up here to get me, and we went down to Sacramento, got there after 1 pm, and they had him in ICU, and under sedation.  I stayed overnight at a motel nearby, and son came again and went to see dh, he was able to sit up a bit yesterday, still had some neck pain, but better.  They put him in a regular bed late yesterday afternoon, and did an MRI, and that's all I know now.  Son drove me back home up here.  I'm going to wait this emergency out up here this time, and just wait for calls from dh or the nurse.         If any of you ever have a sudden terrible bad pain in your neck and head area, call 911 right away, it's no ordinary kind of headache!!!

I wonder if the full moon has something to do with so many people having bad health things pop up, it's happening on other boards too, just in the past two weeks or so.   I'm praying things turn out well for everyone on the sick call list, boy oh boy!!!

Have to go, waiting for phone calls and trying to make some at the same time here.  Take care of yourselves ladies.

No new news about Mom either....We are going to exercise and I will be back later

    Hi all,

Just a quick note before I hit the ironing board.  Doris, I am so sorry to hear of your DH's problem.  And, it always makes matters worse when you are so far apart.  You should definitely know more after the MRI.  Prayers to both you and Mary ~~ hoping today brings more info and decisions as to what is to be done.

Nancy, I also need a size eight bracelet (I won't tell you what size rings I need due to the arthritis).  I was so thrilled that this couple was willing to make a bracelet especially for me.  I usually get to look ~~ not buy.

Joyce, would you believe that after all was said and done, DH didn't want to go watch the fireworks after all.  We followed our usual routine by eating out on the deck and then playing a few games of backgammon.  Prior to eating, we had started watching the Men's Final at Wimbledon.  When we came back in, we turned it on again (we had recorded it) ~~ and it didn't end until after 10:30pm.  Wow, what a match ..............I didn't know that they don't play tie-breaks in the 5th set of a match.  It got a little tense here, as I was rooting for Federer, and DH was wanting Roddick to win.  It was really quite special that Sampras, Bjorg, and Laver were all there to see the record broken again.

When I set up the ironing board, I think I'll watch the golf tournament (we recorded that too!)  I'm also a Tiger Woods fan .........................while DH really likes Mickelson.

Well, if I don't get going the ironing will never get done.................'til later.

    Evening all!

Forgot how tiring it is to go back to work after vacation. Don't think I'll be getting much done here tonight! Fixed a light supper of Taco Salad (lettuce, kidney beans, shredded cheddar, corn chips & taco sauce; easy & meatless; put the can of kidney beans in the fridge the night before so they'll be chilled when you throw the salad togther), watermelon & cantaloupe, stacked the dishes & said forget everything else for tonight! Stick out tongue

    MARY & DORIS: Know that I will be praying for your loved ones! {{{HUGS FOR YOU BOTH}}}

NANCY: We ended up taking 214 pictures before the end of the trip. Used the digital but printed 190 of them out with the hopes of doing a scrapbook. Talk about expensive! I teased my husband that we spent more time in Cabela's staring at guns than at Mt. Rushmore staring at presidents!

SANDY: I used to enjoy watching tennis but haven't done so in many years. Kind-of stopped when I couldn't play anymore. Our favorite sport here is bicyle racing. The Tour De France started this past weekend &, during the 3 weeks every year that it's on, nothing else gets watched on TV until the race is over. We were thrilled when we found out that Lance Armstrong was making a come-back. We are huge fans of his, me more than my husband & son! Embarrassed

REST OF DC: Hi, hope you have a great evening! Big Smile

    God Bless,

    Susan Geeked

Prayers to Doris and dh!  I don't blame you for staying home, waiting for the calls to come in.  But, does it make it more worrisome to be so far away from him?  I have heard that about severe neck/head pain, but a reminder is always welcome.

Mary, I hope you got some news later this afternoon about your mom.  How was exercise?  What did you end up fixing for your "nice" dinner last night?

Lorraine, forgetting to pay the taxes weighs heavily on my mind this time of year.  Our property taxes came last week, but aren't due until the middle of Sept.  Way to much time for forgetting, and I don't like to pay them too early-would rather I get the interest than the township!!LOL  Hope that Rudys labs went well.

So Joyce, how was the first day back after a long weekend?  Glad you got to see the fireworks Sunday night.

Nancy, how is the voice this evening?  LOL at Russell liking you without your normal voice !!  Does Bradley come back this week?

Sandy, do you need some extra ironing?LOL  I stay as far away from my ironing board as I can.  Your dinner on the deck sounds so nice!  Time spent together is always nice.

Susan, how did you like Mt Rushmore?  Did you go through the Badlands and into Wall Drug?  We had rain the day were saw the presidents, and I would love to go back and see it in the sunshine.

Wow!!  This hi speed is so neat!!  But, we do have to buy a Hi Speed card for the desktop if we want that to be wireless.  And we do since we can't use mulitiple devices if the MiFi is tethered to the desktop, I say:  buy the darned card!!  We did use the laptop in the car today on the way to Sams Club.  Well, I drove and Danny used the notebook and thought he was the cats' meow!!

Yesterday at work more than made up for the slowness on Sat.  Whew!!  Were we ever busy.  But, once again, the $$$ was wonderful, and will help pay some bills this month!

Tomorrow I have the scope in the morning, and then it will be laundry in the evening.

    Later all.

    Deb
