Thank You to My New Sister

I didn't see a July thank you thread, so I decided to make a separate post.

What a nice surprize to hear from my new Sister today!!  How did you manage to mail without a postmark on the envelope??? Pretty tricky!! No yard sales this 4th.  I really need to stay away from them as I have things that need to find a new home too and I seem to collect alot of stuff. Mom was taken to the hospital July 3rd., so my time right now is going to see her and tring to arrange for her care in the nursing home when she goes for physical therapy. Today when I visited, Mom seemed in better spirits.

I tried to answer all the questions...hope I did.  I know that makes things alot easier for a Sister. Thank you for putting Mom Ron, Mom and me on your prayer journal. Yes, I do love homemade things!

Thank you for the nice 4th of July Card, the recipes fo rthe Rhubarb Rolls and Easy Blueberry Pie...both recipes sound awesome. I have blueberries to use up, so I just might have to make us a pie. Thank you also for the prayer card ,star and the nice letter from you!!  I am looking forward to getting to know you!!

      Wishing you a GREAT Monday!!

    Mary

    Rhubarb Rolls

    2 cups flour

    3 tsp baking powder

    1/4 tsp salt

    1/2 cup butter

    3/4 cup  milk

    3 cups finely cut rhubarb

    1 cup sugar

    1/2 tsp. cinnamon

    Syrup

    1 cup hot water

3 Tbsp. butter, 1 cup sugar

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter and add the milk. mix lightly. Roll on floured board 12 inches long.

Mix Rhubarb, sugar and cinnamon.....spread on dough.  Roll dough tightly, like a jelly roll and cut into 12 inch sections.  Place cut side down on a 9x13 baking pan. Make the syrup of hot water and butter with sugar. Pour over rolls and bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until browned. Serve with the whipped cream or ice cream.

Gosh, this recipe sounds so good!!
