Sue~sstetzel~Paging Sue!
It's here and what a great cookbook it is!
Thank you so much! Aren't these type cookbooks just the best?
I just love the title~Maple Cows and Monkey Bread and it is chocked full of great recipes! Some I have never heard of and can't wait to try. One recipe I saw immediately brought back a memory of my mom~the Red Hot Jello Salad~as she used to make that for me when I was little and then I used to make that for my kids when they were young. Isn't it funny how one day a recipe goes to the back of the box and you just quit making it?
You want to know what else I REALLY like about this book? It is the index...Yes, the INDEX! It is separated into ingredients and then the name of the recipe. What an easy way to look for a recipe with the ingredients you have. That is very unique and I just love it!
I would imagine that I am not the only one whose eye caught that Cherry Upside Down Pudding recipe~OMG, does that sound good and guess just who came home from the flea market with 5 lbs of sweet cherries! YUM
So that everyone else knows, Sue sent me the cookbook Maple Cows and Monkey Bread, A collection of Favorite Recipes from the Houghton College Family from Houghton, NY. It is quite a gem for my collection!
Thanks again, Sue! What a smile you gave me as I quickly thumbed through this before sitting down here at the computer. I know this book will be used over and over again!
As always,
Linda
