EARLY COOKING FOLLOWING WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY

     Hello,

My husband is having gastric bypass surgery soon. Looking through the meal plans and food steps to be taken after surgery, I realized we were already there !

Smoothies can be made with soy milk for extra protien, as well as protien powder. ( strain out any seeds)

Smooth creamy soups can be made from the homemade ones I make now just put through a blender.( no seeds)

Soft canned fruit like peaches, along with a little cinnamon, can add flavor when blended and stirred into hot cereals.Cook up peeled apples or add apple sauce too.

Just a bit of info for those of you out there facing this culinary endeavor !

Got some flavor tips for me ? Please send it my way !!

    Cheers,

    Julie B.

I also recommend purchasing your spices from places that use 'whole seasonings with no fillers'  such as Penzey's or Watkins (Since you can purchase the most common spices from Watkins at Walmart, this is probably the most reasonably priced choice now).  Fillers have a tendency towards upsetting your stomach.

    Hope that helps!
