I get Paula Deen , I love her recipes but she also has a ton of unrelated information & promotion of friends business etc. I used to get Rachel but I find her recipes are all in the same gendre, and the magazine is too commercial.(.Hot deals includes purses that are a "steal" at $250.00!)
I do get Everday food by Martha Stewart, I like the recipes & info re certain spices or a cooking technique. But some issues are things I would never attempt to make, some alittle too basic, some too complicated.
I was given the Food Network magazine as a gift but it too has alot of promotion & non cooking info/ads. I also got Bon Appetit for a while , it is fun from time to time but more that I usually would make at home...plus we are not big on eine which is a main stay of all gourmet magazines.
Taste of Home and Simple & delicious remain my main stays, although they have changed I find they have the most" real" recipes of any other magazine, food that real people would make plus the subscriptions are less expensive1
