     TGIF

Rained all day yesterday - off and on - - Mostly on!  To dark to see what's going on now.

For those interested the theme of the Fantasy this year is "The Magic of Christmas."  We will be doing our tree for work in silver and white with white lights.   Last year, when I was ordering stuff to give out at the St. Pat's Day parade, I just checked on clearance stuff for Christmas and ordered these silver metal laceie leaves and then some clear icecicles with snow on the tops.  We are going to add those curly-Q things on a stick that you see in the dryed flower section of the craft stores in silver and white and a white with silver bow for the top and possible a few others on the tree.  Kinda of going with the magic of nature theme.   It's coming together well this year - I already have tables for Sat. nights wine and cheese event almost filled, and waiting on a couple of more calls.  Have the major entertainment slots filled, but need to fill in a few more inbetween.

Tomorrow, I have a wedding at 3:30, then tickets to the Music Man at the opera house about 45 miles from here- times could get tight.

    Well, on with my day.

    Good Chilly Morning Ladies,

At least the sun is shinning once again today ~ Too many cool days and night time lows in the 40's. Heat came on last night for the first time this season AND I broke out the flannel jammies :) I also put a blanket on my bed this week when I wahsed sheets!!

Jane, so good to hear all is going smoothly this year with the Fantasy Christmas and all. So much more enjoyable...

Thinking about our Amy and hope she is feeling better with each passing day...

    Thinking about Miss Maizey also...

Need to warm my 'Joe'. Back in a bit ~

    Good Morning!

What a GLORIOUS Texas Fall Morning!!  We woke up to temps in the 40's...Lily and I crawled back into bed when hubby left for work at 6:00...Lily went to sleep, I played on my laptop ...for 2 hours! Now I am up doing laundry and have the doors and windows opened.....I just love the smell of fresh air!!  The funny thing is that 24 hours ago the AC was on, because the humidity was so high!!

Jane...I just love hearing all the news about The Fantasy Event....I love the theme!!!

I have not heard from Dianae...in quite sometime...but I do know she has been busy with DD and vollyball...she does post on Facebook!

Thinking of running over and getting my hair trimmed....I kind of flip up the back and yesterday I noticed it is getting long...and it's only been 4 weeks....and the Reunion is next week...and considering I had very long hair the last time I saw all hubbys friends and now it is very short...I would like it to look somewhat descent!!

Hubby & I need to run to the Jewelry store later...hubby needs to have his wedding ring resized...smaller!! I bought him a new one with some bling on it last year...and now it is too big!!!  Lucky for Lily it is near the Doggie Park so we will stop there too!!!

I better get moving...have some vaccuming to get to......Geeked

    .....it is WHAT it is.....

    Hi Rosies!

Have been busy all day so far.  Went to bed at midnight and woke up just before 5:00.  Lots of stuff weighing on my mind.  DH and I were thinking about doing a mini-vacation this weekend, and then we cancelled.  Both of us felt good about the decision.  But it won't be too dull around here.  I might go truck driving with him tomorrow (think it's southward), and then Sunday we're going to MIL's to clean up her chimney and woodstove.  Hopefully, Hayden will be going along.  It's been a while since he's seen his great-grandma.  And she just adores him!

Hayden came over this morning while DIL had appointments.  I loaded him up in the car and we went to DH's work.  Grandpa had to show him off.

Jane, keep us posted about the Fantasy.  It all sound so great.

Pat, any after effect from the flu shot?  I guess most of Union High (the new one on 1st St.) is out with what many think is the Swine Flu.  A couple of kids from church have got it, too.

Don't know if Roma will get in here to post.  She's duking it out at KC about politics!

Hugs to all.  Have a great Friday!~~~Laura

Some days, I can literally see the testosterone floating in the air around here.

Let's HOPE for a CHANGE in the next election.

    Hello Roses,

Yes I better get the flu shots too. Don't really like to, but with the boys I better. I heard the children can't get the swine flu one, don't know if that is true or not. Louisville KY just had their first confirmed swine flu death. Very scary. My littlest ones therapist that comes to our home has said she has 2 children that she cares for that have the swine flu. I hope she santizes things well. Hubby acts like he wants to stop therapies and take the other child out of school. And he says I over react!!!! lol

UPS came with the new hutch for Maximus while I was gone. Left a note saying they wouldn't deliver again until Monday. That means I will have a very active male rabbit in my house until Monday. Ughhh Getting the sanitary wipes out. lol I may ask the owners if I can pick it up Tues.

I purchased a new microwave and toaster today! We have needed both for literally months. We are in business now!  The microwave has a built in child safety lock. Ha ha ha ...lets hope my little guy doesn't figure this one out.

Thinking of you all! Mary Ann stay warm! Cook and Bottle take good care of those kitties, and the baby. Palimino, sure is good seeing posts from you again! Pip, Laura, Roma hugs!!! Jane, sounds beautiful!!!!!

    Take care all,

    Music Momma

    Hi Buds!

I don't know why I even drop in over there. Is there a full moon?  Some of those folks are just nuts!  Thanks for the support Four Boys!  Did any of you watch the report on Acorn on Fox? Boy, what an eye opener. But, you know, it's all lies!

Had to make a grocery run,,,was out of produce.  We had a great dinner. Tilapida...I love that fish. Has such a nice texture and flavor.

Sat evening the Literary Guild (we laughingly call it) small  book group, will be taking champagne and cavier to our friend who owns the small boutique. You've heard me mention it here before. Geni..the owner, is closing the doors tomorrow night. It's heart breaking. It's been her life for 20 years and since the mill shut down her business has plummetted.  She is retirement age but so not ready.  I don't know what she'll do with herself. If you've ever been in retail you know how totally absorbing it is. After the champagne and tears we're taking her to dinner. It'll be a sad night.

Pat, I'll bet you've enjoyed having the week off.  How much weight did Ken lose?  I should have my wedding ring sized too but I'd have to have it made larger. Not good!

Jane, I love your Fantasy Theme. The trees will be beautiful!

What kind of a bunny is your new one, Music?  I have a friend who has a house bunny. He is litter trained and they love him to pieces.  He's about ten now and I guess that's considered really old in bunny life. They have miniature horses too.  Laura, they live in Ridgefield and I love to visit. It's a veritable menagerie!

Good night and God bless.....Jeanne, if you check in a special HELLO!!! The flip flops sound adorable!
