Escargot

Does anyone else enjoy escargot?

Only if there was nothing else to eat and I was starving. I have eaten rattlesnake, frog legs (a long time ago) and some other oddball things but have drawn the line when it comes to snails.

I have had it once. It was okay, but I prefer the garlic and melted butter with shrimp or just bread.

Sorry, I don't eat slugs.

 In puff pastry......it doens't get any better than that.  I also like it in garlic butter sauce.  

Yup -- DH and I always order it for the appetizer. 

Havent had it in years and years.  I ate it as a teen.  A boy used to always order it when we went out.  Hey, it had a fancy name.  I don't think I knew what it was.  now I'm not sure if I can get past the thought of what I am actually eating.

 I've eaten a lot of strange things as a chef, but escargot was one of the ickiest for me ;) It took a lot of convincing and talking to myself to try it LOL

I have to make it at work every day and grabbing the giant grayish black smelly snails out of the can grosses me out ;)  Not to mention, they look a little strange without their shells.

Me, neither!  Escargot are edible snails with shells that feed strictly on vegetation.  Slugs are sooo disgusting.  They eat anything, have no shells and leave that disgusting slime in their wake.
