  What a nice poem, Marcia!!  I feel the same way about all my dear cyber friends....they are like family!!!!!!!!   A real blessing in my life!!!!!!!!! 

 

  Getting ready for Mom's 93rd. birthday party tonight.. I have lots of veggies to cut, dips to make and finger sandwich's, snacks and goodies to prepare. Mom is doing well....Good reports at the cancer doctor, which he claims she is cancer free...Medical doctor pleased with her blood test results...

 

   I am in a tizzy over these Santa placemats at the craft shop...LOL  They are so neat, but I haven't bought them yet, thinking that some people prefer Snowmen over Santa.....LOL  The placemats are so unique, IMO, that I better grab them before someone beats me to it....LOL  I am the craft co-op junkie,I think....I have to stop weekly just to get my fix on chocolate covered marshmellows.........LOL

Good morning....................This is Susie, Ventura9.......................For the past week I have been trying to log on, the system kept asking me for my password, and then said it wasn't a match. It was odd how it started asking for the password and I just normally log on. I've been trying for about :30 minutes this morning. Then when I decided to have my password sent to me via email, the system told me my email didn't exist. This is just crazy. I have been lost somewhere. Then when I was re-signing up into out TOH site, I was advised my user name was already taken........GEEZ!!.............So, this is me now under a new user name. I have no clue what happened. I am going to go back and do a bit of catching up for the last week...............I will talk with you all soon............................ Susie

Hi all, well this week will most likely be a busy one. Today we work on more home improvemrnt projects..... they never stop. Finishing the wiring for our heated floors is #1 in my book, last week i finally got the shelves up in the closet.. love them. We got the news on the biopsy for DH, 95% sure no cancer... need another type biopsy for to 100 % sure so we are just going to watch it for a while. He does has a lung infection that could have turned to pneumonia but is on meds. My doc upped my dose of Blood pressure meds and they seem to be working now.

Well, I have my SS mailing almost ready, just need a thing or two. I hope she likes it. Believe it or not I even have the reveal box ready... well almost. I am also gettng cards ready for the Christmas Card exchange and doing the ornament exchange....... what have I gotten myself into? I CAN DO IT ALL! Have decided to partake in the community Thanksgiving potluck this year to make things easier, will bring Rutabegas (DH fav) and Moms best fruit salad as a hloiday is not a hloiday for me without it. Oh, did I ever mention we found my DH long lost sister? They have been talking and catching up on 30+ year for a week or 2.... life really does have its twists and turns.

Sorry I've been MIA lately, but I have been reading what is going on with everyone.  We survived Halloween, but have way too much candy...oh well, my husband's work and mine will enjoy the extras!  Am battling allergies this a.m.  I love Fall, but something in nature is wreaking havoc with my nose!  Oh well, that's what allergy medicine is for.  All is well here & I am really looking forward to the holidays this year, knowing that my dad is doing well and that everyone is healthy (as I knock on wood). 

Sending hugs, thoughts & prayers out to all of the sisters and a special greeting to my 2 SSs this week.

I thought I should check in.  Life has been so busy crazy here, I need to slow down!!  This week seems to be even crazier.  Genesy is being baptised Saturday evening, but fortunately I have some wonderful sisters at church offering to help.  I had totally spaced about finding people to do opening and closing prayers, but that was all settled up today.

 

Now . . . . I need to find out my SS favorite color and I can't find those threads.  Help!!!  Thanks!!!!

Hi everyone,

  Well, Halloween has come and gone.  It went pretty well, I thought we would have a ton of candy left over and it turned out there was none!!  How cool is that?!  I was dressed as the "grim reaper" and I even had my picture taken a couple of times.  Had a couple of kids that were afraid to come up to the door.  Mom or dad had to come along!  Then there were some punky older kids which just irk me.  At the very end of the night there were some adults.  I kept looking to see if there was a younger kid involved.  Being in costume, I didn't say anything.  This stupid older kid was first in line and just stands by the candy and looks at me and says "whasup".  I wanted to kick him down the stairs!!!  Plus, he didn't have a bag or anything!!!!  Then the adults were in line, with bags!  I just wanted to say "BUY YOUR OWN CANDY!!"  I just couldn't believe it!  I said to DH "What was that all about?!"  It takes all kinds I guess!

  Pretty much just rested today.  I did do laundry and made vegetable beef soup in the slow cooker.  I knew I wanted to watch the race and then the Packer game.  Oh how I wanted to see the Packers win.  I rarely watch the games, but with Brett Farve being a Viking now, I wanted to see him lose.  Of course, that didn't happen.  Oh well.

  Marcia--Thanks for the poem.  That's just how I feel also. 

  Mary--Great news about your mom!  Nothing like hearing the words "cancer-free!"  What a great birthday present for your mom!

  Amy--Halloween just isn't the same as when I was a kid.  I don't think it was exhausting for my mom.

  Betty--prayers going up for you.  Will be thinking of you this week.

  Cindi--good news about your DH.  Am glad that your blood pressure meds seem to be o.k.  A friend of mine had a problem with that also.  And how cool is that about your DH's long lost sister?  What fun!

  Laura--hope your allergies get better.  I'm glad I don't suffer from that (yet).

I think I might have a broken toe or 2...... I hit them twice on the cat stand that is NOT supposed to be upstairs, walking to fast not paying attention. They still hurt pretty bad today. Between my ankle and my toes I'm a mess! lol

 

Looks like it is going to be a fantastic day!

 

Got a lot done on the gingerbread yesterday. Roof is on and I am now working on details again. And I need to make some decisions about what I will be doing to the roof??????
