This is my Aunt Evy's recipe, which I have used for years.
Take a double thickness of aluminum foil about 12" x 12"
place pork chop in middle - if thin use two.
sprinkle with dry onion soup.
mound potatoes and carrots on top (make slices same thickness)
sprinkle with onion soup mix.
Seal aluminum foil into packets - triple seam so that it is closed tightly.
Place on cookie sheet - cut in 325 over for about 2 hours. This is a great forgiving recipe. If you have drinks with your dinner guests and the conversation is going especially well you can turn it down to 300 for another 30 or 45 minutes without any damage. I enjoyed this recipe when I had company because everything was in the oven and I could relax and enjoy my company.
Try it - hope you enjoy.

p.s. be careful when you open the packets because of steam.
