    Freezing holiday cookies and candy

Does anyone know if it is Ok to start baking my cut-out cookies (gingerbread people and sugar cookies)? I am thinking I could freeze them in large tuppers layered between sheets of parchment paper.I would not  put both types in the same tuppers, to prevent flavors from mixing.Also- I have frozen fudge before but no other types of candy. Can I freeze peanut butter cups and home made mounds this early and still have them turn out nice for gift-giving during the holidays? Thanks for any advice you have for me.

I do this all the time around the holidays and never have any problems. When I make the peanut butter cups, I use those decorative mini-muffin size paper holders and they work well. You will be handing out goodies in the next few weeks. If stored properly, your sweets will be fine. Some years I bake the sugar cookies but not ice them until needed.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Truffles!! Yes, I always use the mini cupcake papers for the pb cups, but DH has me make a few in cupcake  liners (BIG pb cups) that he like to wrap and leave on co-worker's desks for them (oh, did I mention that these are his favorite and lets just say that not all of them make it to the co-worker's desks!). I  am trying to decide what to freeze, (cookies, I always freeze un-iced) and what will store at room temp in tuppers.
