    Hi everyone,

Wow, where did the year go? I can not believe it is already November. And of course, we can't talk about Christmas until we get through Thanksgiving first.

So what are you making this year. Have you thought about it yet. Perhaps you have a few new recipes to try. We would love to see them.

Is there any traditions you follow year to year? Please do share.

And if you missed us last week here is a link to our Halloween thread.

    Good morning friends Coffee.

Was very busy last week so not much computer time. Enjoyed some nice weather outdoors w/ the kids.

On Halloween it rained for a bit but not heavy however, the weather was a balmy 73* Yes. As usual we had alot of kids, so many that you would not believe the #!

I've been thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. I already have our Christmas shower curtain up and the Christmas comforter on our bed. Today I'm going to take down the Halloween decorations. Yesterday DD and I listened to Christmas music Embarrassed. Yup, we can't wait lol.

I would like to try a couple new recipes for the our Thanksgiving feast but haven't decided what yet.

Redawana, I'm looking forward to the gingerbread pics. Do you have to store that in the refrigerator when you're not working on it?

    How is everyone else doing?

    Have a great day.

    Good Moring all,

Just finished  the scavenger hunt. It was easy this time around~

I think I might have a broken toe or 2...... I hit them twice on the cat stand that is NOT supposed to be upstairs, walking to fast not paying attention. They still hurt pretty bad today. Between my ankle and my toes I'm a mess! lol

Looks like it is going to be a fantastic day!

Got a lot done on the gingerbread yesterday. Roof is on and I am now working on details again. And I need to make some decisions about what I will be doing to the roof??????

I hope everyone has a fantastic morning, I'll be in and out today!

My crockpot bit the dust last night. I told DH we needed to have an eulogy for it. I think I must use my crockpots too much. This one was only a year old and got a crack in it and the handle to lid had been broken for a year. I think the pot got cracked when we moved and the handle on the lid melted like the pot got too hot or something. Eating something before I go to spanish class. Not sure what we are doing on thanksgiving. I know that I will have to work for 4  hours but its more or less up to if DH is working or not. I reallly do not want to be around the inlaws if he isn't there. I feel uncomfortable when DH is there but even worse when he is not. Plus, I think they are a bit upset that we will not do gift exchanges. We just do not have the money and our kids kids come before any one in the gift line.

    Hi gang.

Nancy, good to see you! Redawna, OW on the toes!  Rachelle, bummer about the crockpot!  I'm trying to decide if I'm using my crockpot today or not...

Well, just a quick hello.  We are all kind of run-down at our house, so trying to get some extra rest so none of us get sick.  We have lots of school to finish up for tomorrow at co-op too.  DS #3 has been bothered by a stiff neck the last two days. I think he is sleeping funny because of the cast (plus it is that side of his neck that is bothering him).

Gotta run.  Take care, and have a great week if I don't see you for a couple of days!  I cannot believe Thanksgiving is coming up so quickly!  Great topic though Redawna. I've seen several recipes that I'd like to give a try this year- I'll see if I can find them!

    Blessings, Ellie

    Hi again,

Redawana, Sorry about your toe(s) not much you can do for them except bandage them. DH broke his toe 2 wks ago and it's still sore. Can't wait to see your gingerbread creation.

Rachelle, Too bad if  your in-laws don't like it if you're not exchanging gifts this year. Tell them if they make your mortgage payments you might consider it. And why should you be uncomfortable on Thanksgiving?. Stay home w/ your family, have a nice meal and play some games. You're too nice to put up w/ that nonsense.

Ellie, Ouch on DS cast. Maybe a heating pad on his neck will help some. Hope all of you get to feeling better.

HI, hope everyone is having a nice day.

Leat: chicken lasagna sounds delicious! Would you share the recipe? Hope Caleb is not getting sick.

Ellie: Hope DS's neck is feeling better. I have lots of problems with me neck and it can be awful.

Redawna: OUCH on the toes. Put some popsicle sticks on each side and wrap well! Although Rachelle could give you better advice! LOL

Rachelle: Sorry about the crockpot! My in-laws would never come to dinner without DH being here. Hope it works out the way you want it to.

DS2 announced he wants the same Thanksgiving as last year. Turkey, stuffing, peas, mashed potatoes, rolls, cranberry and we must sit in our dining room! "It is tradition, Mama" he says to me. I love it and am happy to accommodate him!

Hi to everyone stopping in...Nancy, Cathy, Belinda, Shannon and others.

Time to get dinner started...burgers on the grill (Bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions for me!), corn on the cob and probably mac n' cheese. I'm hungry just thinking about it! DH is off to Houston tomorrow for the day and Miami on Thursday for the day. Glad they are day trips and that should be about it for the year. Maybe Savannah/Atlanta but not sure.

    Bye for now!Big Smile

Leat............ FANCY JELLO....... are you kidding me.......... I can't even make normal jello--- my kids probably think its super hard or something......... no........ just takes so long to set up then they all stick thier fingers in it to see if its set............ ick......... plus I just darn forget.

Redawna. I wish you had a "gingerbread cam" or something.......... some way for us to see the progress of your gingerbread house......... but yet I do know its a contest and you don't want to give away your secrets.

I survived the busy birtday and halloween times. plus we all had colds and flu last month.

I am happy to say in one product panel I'm in they have a montly recipe contest and I was picked in the top 5 with candy corn pizza. Not too exciting I do get at least a $10 gift card to Amazon because the way the voting is going I don't see me getting fist place.

I recieved my fist thing to put away for christmas gifts today from Amazon. (I got free from doing swagbucks)
