I'll be meeting DM for lunch today at Applebees.  Then I need to get a few things a WM.  I have a list made out.....so hopefully nothing unexpected falls into the cart.

I had a much better night last night.  Hardly any coughing and so far this morning....not too much.  I think I'm finally getting better.

Today the kids will be sponge painting leaf stencils.

Gotta get my coffee.................Be back in a bit.

Good Morning to all the other Grannies coming along later.

I have some bananas this morning, also toast and blackberry jam.

Good morning CJ and CP and all to come,

CJ, thanks for the coffee, I will sip while I type.  Sponge painting leaves sounds like a fun craft for the kids.  Glad you are starting to feel better and lunch at Applebees will be enjoyed, my favorite thing on their menu is the santa fe chicken salad.  Hope you find all the things on your list at WM.

CP, I will take a slice of toast with jam, blackberry is my favorite flavor.  It is just starting to get light out here and only expected to go into the high 30's.  Enjoy your day and keep Sugar smelling sweet.

I have work this morning and then a nail and toe appointment this afternoon.  Have to have my nails looking good for my trip next week, showing off my toes in FL.  Nancy, what color do you think I will get?

Good morning to all the Grannies. Those who are here already, and those to come.
CJ----Thanks for the coffee. It is so good on this dark and cloudy morning. 30% chance of showers and temps are 45* now, going to 55* later in the day.
CP---Thanks for the offer, I'll take some toast with Blackberry jam. Reminds me that I have lots of blackberries in the freezer. Need to do something with them. If they are not freezer burned that is.
No plans for the day until DH gets out of bed. Will shower and dress then and go directly to my sewing room. Hope to sew all day. Nice occupation on a rainy day.Big Smile      BBL  Suzi

Good morning CJ, CP and GU.  And of course everyone else that comes!  It is another frosty day here with temps in the high 20's.

I'm going to make one last attempt at doing laundry today.  If I don't get it done today I told DM last night that I would take the clothes out of the basket and refold them, turn the wundies to the other side and use....................ewwwww, yuck!  Yesterday morning got my laundry in the machines and then went to turn my money into quarters and the dumb machine wouldn't take my money.  Boy was I mad.  So last evening back again and figured okay this time I will get my money first, nope still didn't work.  I was livid by then.  DH got me quarters now so lets see what happens today.

Today is my Friday.  Tomorrow will take DM to the eye dr. and then I decided to just take Friday off too.  Then we have Wednesday off for a holiday next week and Sue and I decided that Thursday would be our shopping day.  The following week I have to work the full week.  Then 2 1/2 days Thanksgiving week and off the whole next week.  I love November.  LOL.

Well guess I'd better get a move on.  Last minute touch ups with the mirror.

    BBL.

     Good Morning Good Morning Grannies!

Quick breakfast here......................a load of laundry to do & then off to work!

A beautiful setting in the country = a Stone House/Bed & Breakfast; nice large barn redone on the inside to be used for weddings & parties with a bar, huge white paper lantrens & garlands of mini-clear lites & grapevines................nice cement floor.

We set up 30 card tables with covers & waited for the truck to deliver the items.....many wooden antique chairs but beyond that...........what my boss calls yard sale things!  She is not happy!    Owner of items has been a compulsive collector for years & has sooo much stuff that he cannot have a sale at his own place; thus hired  the truck, workers, rented the barn space plus pays our boss..................who in turn pays us girls for 5 dyas of work.     LOL    We have 2 tables of just Mr. Coffee coffemakers & electric pertulators! Let's not count Christmas ornaments..........

This will be a day of sun, rain & possibly spits of s***

SUZI: so glad to hear you say  "sewing"    Big Smile

    Enjoy your day grannies!

     Good Morning Ladies - -

Just starting to get light here - Actually, it's still mostly dark-dark yet!  Was a nice moon though when I ran the water through the pot, before I hit the shower.

CJ, glad to hear that you are on the up swing of things - hope it just gets better and better. Enjoy lunch with your mom, I'm sure those days are numbered now, before they head south for the winter.

Ah, blackberry jam - CP, you and Fran are so good to us, sharing that precious stuff.  A real favorite here.

Glee, when do you leave?  Hope you have a wonderful time - but then, what's not to?  Where will you be, or will you be moving around the state?  Would be just nice to have some warm weather again, I think.

Lily, you asked me yesterday if I were doing anything special for the Fantasy?  I assume am I haveing a silent auction item - yes, I will - This year, I bought an upright black metal clock, and am going to decorate that by having greenery around it and then arranging some balls around it-acutally in shades of siver, gray, and even into black-and I have ribbon to make a bow, that is silver, slate blue, and gray. Gotta have may one friend from work come and make me a bow one of these nights, and If I dont like the way it go's together, I will come up with a new plan.  I thought this would be something useful after the holidays-but the decorations away, and you still have a clock- and if you wanted to, you could decorate it for other holidays or seasons.  It's about 18 in. tall.   The tree we are decorating for work will be silver leaves, clear icecicles with a little snow at the top of them, silver and white curly things on a stick, and some silver cascading something or another-don't just know what to call it, but it's on a pic in the decorating things. I think it will look nice-white lights.  I will also decorate a table- using the table cloth that DD gave me from Margaruita Island, my grape dishes, and a little tree that is battery powered, and changes colors.

Well, guess I've talked long enough that now it really is getting light out.  Hope everyone has a good day - I have the last lunch meeting for planning - Always have a good salad there.

Good morning Cjayh.  It's good that you are feeling better.  I'll take some tea, thanks.

Good morning CP, your blackberry jam sounds good to me.  A trip to Florida sounds like a good idea!

Hi Suzi, hope you get to see the sun instead of the rain.

Today is my "busy" day.  I go to the nursing home and play the piano.  While DM was there she responded more to that than to conversation in her later days.  It's a bittersweet experience sometimes, but I enjoy doing it,.

Good morning  GU - sorry it's too early for me to think straight.  Got you and CP mixed  up.

Apple you have such an interesting job.  I might get in trouble because I love "stuff" and I don't need any more.

Greenback, your Fantasy sounds like it will be a beautiful affair.

Justme2, surely that washing problem will work out for you today.

Good Morning My Grannie Friends. Pretty day out there at the moment; hope it stays that way.

Cjah:Thanks for awakening us with the smells of coffee.  Happy to hear you're moving away from the coughing and such. Now, if I can, we'll do good. "I" in no way like your's was.  Watch out for those flakes. Leaf painting; what they be?

Cp: Blackberry jan and toast, hummm that's good. Will go along nicely with cj's coffee.

GU: Will your new nails and piggietoes sport a bikini on the beach. Did you have a nice day with Jameson yesterday; what did you two do.

Suzi: Your sewing is back in the grove huh, so nice. You can make some jam with your berries.

Justme: You don't have a washer or does it need mending? I always hated to go to the laundry room with the exception that they were all done at the same time. Good luck with it today.

Apple: Sounds like a great setting for a wedding doesn't it. As long as your boss makes money, he should be a happy seller. Have fun.

GB: That sounds like a pretty picture of the clock. Have a good day now.

Cleo: That is a nice way to bring back memories for you and I'm sure the other residents feel the same way.

Gotta take girls to school. bb

Good morning, a cloudy one too and a bit on the chilly side.  I slept so good last night.  It seems it was the best I've slept for a long time!!  I hope there's more like that in my future.  LOL  I think I might continue working on the quilt today.  I still have cutting to do.  Much more for me to do too but I'll do the eeny, meeny, miney, moe game and see which one wins.  LOL

CLEO  It's great that you take time to minister at the Nursing home.  The residents need all the love and encouragement they can get.  I sub doing hair at an assisted living place and the residents are allowed to play the piano any time.  And some are very good!

GREENBACK  You always come up with some wonderful ideas for the Christmas tree.

APPLE  What a place you're describing.  I can't even imagine what it would be like.  I live in an entirely different world.  You really have a neat job getting to see all these places.

JUSTME  You're really counting your days!!  I can't say that I blame you.  Now imagine counting down the days until you retire!!  Boy, I remember and the closer it came, the faster I was trying to count.  LOL

SUZI  Happy sewing!!  it seems to be that time of year when the grannies "gather" round the sewing machine.  LOL

GU  How nice to have a trip, get-away to look forward to.

CP  I haven't eaten yet so I'll have a bite of all you have.  Is it walking with friends today or just you and Sugar?

CJ  Another busy but very nice day for you.  I'm glad you're feeling better too.

SHARONB  Have a wonderful day and enjoy your nice weather.

I was satisfied with the results of DWTS last night too.

Morning Stylist: I think I'd like to go to the sales that Apple does just to look and see how others live; out in the country like that ought to be so pretty and nice. I will be going to the school for tables today and also take Kinzie's backpack right soon. No matter how many times you go thru the same words, something is still not  done.

Oh GrammyOH: What a nice special time with your DGD for both of you. I hope she still does it when she's married.  I'm also going to be fixing some cupcakes in a ice cream cone for the girls birthday tomorrow at school.

    Need get doing...bbl
