Our great Sec of State Hillary Clinton,a Liberal thread,Politics

Was watching Morning Joe and they had a nice segment on Secretary Clinton. I just think she is a breath of fresh air in diplomacy. I think its Time magazine she'll be on the cover with story about her.Joe Scarsborogh was singing her praises, which is nice to hear. He mentioned,, think it was Pakistan was saying something about you give us this money ,blah blah blah and she said WELL we could not give you the money!. Joe just thought this is great to have in your face ,no bull Sec. of State, not just smiling but being right in your face. Pakistan was where she held town meetings, and people were commenting that they never thought they would see the US listening and not telling them what to do. She is a POP Star on the world stage. She does America proud. She is so good. Think she'll go down in history as one of the nations most powerful political leaders. She does the hard work of knowing what she is talking about ,or holding her tongue till she does.Just wanted to share why I'm proud to be a Democrat, she doesn't know how to quit. The health plan was brought up on the following program.It is a monopoly, Insurance companies shed high risk people and charge high premiums from healthy people. Will see if the storming the House today has the same effect the storming of the Florida election offices had many years ago. Can we ever forget the mad eyed yelling fools pounding on that glass door, let us in. Guess will just have to wait and see if the powers that be sink it.

 Yes she does. She is a strong woman. I am so happy that Obama selected her for the job.

 I've never liked Hillary Clinton.  I find her abrasive and rude, and she's always struck me as one of those politicians who went into government more from a love of power than because she wanted to help people or fix problems.  I am glad she was not elected to the presidency.

 However, I think Secretary of State is a great role for her.  A role in which bluntness helps.  I appreciated her telling the Pakistani government that it's pretty hard for us in America to believe they have no idea where the Taliban outposts in their country are.  Sometimes laying it all out there get through the BS and starts real dialogue.

And hey!  If the North Korean government hates her, she must be doing something right.

I could not agree more!  She is doing a wonderful job.  I think she would have been a wonderful President too!  She seems very happy and comfortable in her roll and I'm very happy for her.

I have always admired Hillary Clinton. In fact, I voted for her in the primary last year for President. And I think she's doing exceptionally well in her role as Sec of State. I think she's such a good fit for the job. I know that a lot of people were hoping for her to be named as the VP candidate once Obama won the nomination, but I just couldn't see it. And I think I've been more aware of what the Sec of State is doing on a daily basis with her in this role; but that might be because the last one was so bad that I just avoided reading about her!

 

I expect her to accomplish a lot of really good things.

I to agree with all of you,except She was my choice but,,didn't happen.,Vice president does not fit her. I think she is of the original founders quality. To me she has such high regard for the office of the President. What a great American

My first feelings about Hillary have changed much over the past several years.  There's something about a strong woman who might make others feels she's abrasive or even rude...and I hate to be predictable but IMHO that comes from growing up in a male dominated society.

 

Anyhow, I respect her and I admire her...as I know I'd could never in a zillion years be the kind of woman she is.  She's strong, driven, very smart and it seems to me, that she knows what she does well, so she continues to do it. 

 

The first few times I watched or heard much about Morning Joe, I wasn't sure if he was a conservative or a liberal and I found that refreshing.  So here's another reason to like the guy...he's actually saying positive things about a strong Democrat, a woman and a liberal.  Go figure!!

Wow this tea party thing is just such garbage. Jon Voight on there saying the most vicious things and that crowd is cheering. Got signs impeach Obama. Michale Bachmann what a air head. I cannot believe this knee jerk over the moon talk there spouting. Now I do hope it gets passed and then . It all comes down to whose in whose pocket. Republicans think and say its the Dems and we know who is really in the bag for ins. co's. The R's want to make sure the money goes into the Right pocket ,to kinda agree at a post I read, just a different twist.

Now you'll understand why even his own daughter doesn't get along with Jon!

 

I heard him interviewed on a radio program during the election. He was full of conspiracy theories about Obama and even the conservative radio host seemed befuddled by a few of his comments. 

Ive been watching MSNBC today and they are showing this Tea Party thing going on at the capital today..Why don't they read the GOP plan ? I know why but thats politics. Freedom of speech at work. Which is a good thing. Only scary thing is these people vote. LOL not in great numbers thank goodness.

Hi,

Kinda new to the whole chat thing.  My wife usually does the chatting.  She got tired of me standing over her shoulder and asking questions and commenting on these posts.  Well I finally took her advice.....

I read the above and agree with some of these statements, I think this position is a good fit for her.  My only concern is some of the lies that the media caught her in during her presidential campaign.  When somebody lies to you it takes a little bit of time to trust them again, and even then you always wonder.

I truly hope she continues along this line.  I would like to see her succeed.
