Just a quick note.....did you know that Bayer has put out a new quick disolve asperin called  Quick disolve crystals.  You place it under your tongue and it disoves almost instantly.

Pie Crust.  I usually make my own.   I never have any trouble rolling it out to perfection because a few years ago I invested in those plastic rings...I believe I bought them from TOH.  They come in 3 sizes.   What I do is pick  the size ring I want, say 9'.  I lay in on a piece of saran wrap.  Put my pie dough in the middle of it.  Lay another piece of Saran on top. and roll to fit the plastic ring.   I just take the top piece of saran off, remove the ring and pick up the piece of Saran the crust is laying on and move it to my pie pan.

There was a good sounding recipe for pie crust in my new Health mag.  I think it called for butter.  I am  going to cut it out before I pass the book on.

Landen is down for his nap.  I have to pick Heather and her friend up from the bus stop pretty soon.  I really need to go to Walmart and pick up a prescript.  And to the library to pick up a book.  I've had it ordered for months and they just now got it....of course, I am right in the middle of another one...but it's mine so I will just put it aside and read it after I get the one from the Library finished.

Maureen, wasn't  it click's neck that was hurting him ?  Do you have one of those rice bags that you heat ?  I have a great one that actually goes around your shoulders or whatever and velcros.

That helps a lot because it's moist heat.

I need to go make out bills and I have paper work all over my desk.  I might wait until morning when no one is here because the desk is in the front room and I can't concentrate with all the noise.

I keep forgetting Dr. Oz.  I need to program to tape him daily.  Then watch at night when DH goes to bed.  He has a column in our paper every Wed.

Oh that reminds me.  There was an article on dogs and hot spots.  It said if your dog gets hot spots...instead of getting expensive drugs from the vet, just mix up mineral oil, listerine and water and put it in a spray bottle and spray the area.   That's original listerine, the gold stuff.

Thanks to whoever mentioned putting the leaves on a tarp and dragging them to the burn pile.  We did that and it hardly took anytime .  I've wanted to buy DH and leaf blower but he doesn't want one.  We do have a lot of leaves but we kind of like raking  and burning them.  Get a little exercise without really calling it that.  Wink

Jo Ann, I think that is the gist of Viny's forward.   It reminded me I had wanted to tell you all about the chewing and I need to go back and finish his email.   That would be so much easier to put the crystals under the tongue because I hate to imagine how the regular Bayer tastes to chew.   Course, I guess that's the last thing to worry about.

Barb, I never heard of those rings before - they sound like something I would like.   I'll have to investigate that.    On the babysitting, I don't even try to concentrate on anything related to personal business while I'm sitting.   Ava would be interrupting me constantly unless she's watching cartoons and even then she finds something to jabber about.   If I'm at my house I manage to get some dishes done and straighten up.

A scary thing they showed on Dr. Oz today was how we can get MRSA from our animals.   It was a horrible looking sore on the dog and the vet on there said to always have gloves on when touching any breakout on the skin of our animals.   Barb, I love the Dr. Oz show but 9 a.m. is a bad time for me.   But I better not complain to you because I could be recording it:)

We found a Sprint phone yesterday while in the area behind the house, so I took it to the Corporate offices today and they will contact the person who lost it.   Luckily that office is only about 10 minutes from the house.

Well, this is DH's early day and he should be home shortly, so I better start dinner.

     Hello ALL!

Viny I am so glad to hear your wife is doing better!

Thanks for all the support my friends!

Mojazz, I know EXACTLY what you were talking about concerning my DH being out and about. He hopes he can retrain for a job, he is bored and it is hard to stay "low" and off the radar. But thank you for the concern it is appreciated.

Stormy wheather for the next several days. We have had every sort including snow "All At Once" with each storm cell. November for sure!

    Hugs all

Good evening all! It was a beautiful day here, from what I could see from the back of the store. LOL Hope we have a nice day on Sunday, it’s my day off. Have to work all day tomorrow too.

Lynn is still down sick, has a migraine right now and still dizzy from the flu. Kenny is doing better, didn’t lose his voice today but stayed in the house while the other kids were outside. The schools were closed for a long Veterans Day weekend. Chris is there with them, safely in Wisconsin. He was at Ft. Bliss for a weekend a couple weeks ago.

Viny, glad to hear Pat is starting to step it up some. Did she start smoking when she got out of the hospital this time? Hope NOT! Maybe you can do your Christmas shopping on the weekends when you SHOULDN’T BE AT WORK? Did you get those antennas figured out?

NursePat, don’t you just love the ceremonies with the kids in uniform? They look so wonderful. Now for him to get a nice safe area to patrol for awhile.

Verna, got my giggle from your DGS and his getting sox & undies a few Christmas’s... We still give those things as the kids are always showing up with holey ones. I usually put a new pair of jammies in there for Christmas too. I used to try & find the girls matching ones, not now. They are getting too big with different ideas.

Maureen, have you heard about Roger yet? Where he is? Hope your list got whittled today. I don’t make pies because I just can’t get a decent crust rolled out. So aggravating because we love pie. I’ll have to give that a try and those rings of Barb’s sound perfect to me.

JoLynn, I’m waiting for someone to post that good pumpkin cookie recipe. I haven’t found one that I really, really like. How exciting that you got your mom’s recipe box and knife. Nothing better than hand written recipes from your past. I have to agree with you about Thanksgiving and how many come. There’s always room for 1 more.

Shirley, good to see you here. Prayers going out for Holley and her depression. I hope Sheryl’s talk with her did a little good. Good news on your knee too... Enjoy those water aerobics as much as you can. Lynn told me today that Kenny has enjoyed being home with just her yesterday. He took care of her, got her drinks & kissed her cheek while she laid on the couch with him. He’s not always a little devil. When Lynn got her first beagle, Cindy, she was timid and loving too.. They got her from a farmer outside of a KY town, kind of like a dog breeder but a bad type. We know she was beat by him but we all loved her & she loved us till she died. What brand of pie crust do you like for a quickie pie?

JoAnn, guess I better start looking for a turkey here. Don’t think I want one of those expensive ones though.

Barb, you’re right about the impact Ft. Hood has on all the guys in the service. They do look out for each other whether here or over in another country. I had to laugh about your chiro telling you about sleeping with the pillow under your knees, I did this many years ago too. It really helped get my back into place. There are cute recipe books out there you could put your favorite recipes in for OGD. Good idea.

Lusi, are you getting ice already? Congratulations to Ari on his A in class. Is he coming home for Christmas this year? Hope Leo got his bags....

Juli, hope your DH can get his retraining, after he recovers from his surgeries. How much weight has he lost by now? It has to be so hard for him to be home & bored. Does he have any hobbies he can do during the winter? Hope his disability gets straightened out before too long. Will keep you all in my prayers..

Time to get ready for bed. Tomorrow will be here before I know it. Till later! Pat A
