    Re: 11-06-09 - Grannie Neighborhood

Well, a new day is lurking and it's too dark to give a weather report, but I think it's suppost to be another nice one - Just keep them coming and keep that sun shining.

The last 2 morning I've been waking up about an hour before I have to get up with a cramp just starting to happen - If I don't get up and walk it out, it will turn into a good one, and maybe will anyway, but then when I get back to bed, by the time I get back to sleep, it's time to get up!  I know, there are major hurdles for people in life, this is so minor, I shouldn't even mention it.  Just makes me mad - but I can sleep in in the morning!

With my schedule for the next 10 days, this is something I shouldn't even consider, but I'm going to anyway.  The YaYa's and I all have Wed. off from work, and I don't have to work at the fantasy, ( I could, but I don't have to) so we are going to go over to the Dells and go to the Christmas Show at the dinner theater - I've wanted to see that show every year, but it never works out for us, so we gave up on trying to fit a weekend in and will do this.  I'm really looking forward to it.  Just a spur of the moment thing, and sometimes they work better.  Actually, should be sitting most of the day, so shouldn't be to strenious. The menu sounds good too.

Heard for DD yesterday - she was happy - she tested in 2 segements of the class that she's taking and passed both of them.  She has 3 more to go.  She said that Windows 7 is really different from what we are use to.

Well, maybe I should fill my cup again, and I will also pour a cup for each of you, if you like. No tea in this household.  I'll rusle up some breakfast today too, since I'm first, lets see, how would your like french toast and bacon today?  Sounds good - now I guess I'll go make some reg. toast or an English muffin.

Good morning, sunny, 30º and going to the mid 50's.  A very nice day.  I have a Dr. appointment today.  We'll be going on a new stretch of road.  The old one has been very dangerous and seen many deadly accidents.  They're finally getting the new four lane road opened up!!!  It should even cut down on our driving time.

Thinking and praying for the victims and families at Ft. Hood.  My DH was stationed there for 18 months in 1962-1963.

GREENBACK  Good morning, how's the knees today?  It's Friday! and the weekend is coming so you'll have a couple of days to relax.  Enjoy it.  I hope you're having nice weather.  Christmas show at the Dells sounds fantastic.  I bet it'll be absolutely beautiful.

We'll have the DGC tonight as their mom and dad have a wedding rehearsal to attend.  DSIL will be performing the ceremony.

Good morning Greenback and Grannies to come.  Thanks for the opening the door Greenback. I'll add some coffee and bran muffins to the table.
granny1987----Read back on last nights posts. Saw where you planted 100 yellow tulips. How bright and cheerful your yard will be in the Spring. I love YELLOW tulips the best. Maybe you can show us pictures next spring.
It is 48* going to upper 50s. Looks like some cloudyness though. Oh well can't have it all.Nothing planned for today. Will take what comes my way I guess. Need to go and find a banana.. My tummy is "rumbly" as Pooh would say.     BBL     Suzi

Good morning Greenback.  French toast and bacon sounds good.  Sorry your sleep is being interrupted.  Wasting that good sleep!

Stylist, have fun with the DGC tonight.

Suzi - I love tulips, but they are  a fantasy here, because we don't have cold enough winters for them to do well.  I've tried them several times but they just don't do well.

Good morning Jane. I did an opening post but then the computer was locked up so never went. It's a nice 58* here now and will probably be another beautiful day. Girls are excited to be heading out for camping after school with 2 of their friends.

I've a load in the washer and then the dog's blankies and pillow so they can be put in the camper too. She likes to go camping but doesn't like the ride.

For those heading out to work, have a good day....It's Friday!!!

SHARONB  Enjoy your nice weather.  Your girls would freeze their little buns off if they went camping here.  LOL

SUZI  Thanks for letting me know you got the pictures.  You take care of yourself as we want to see you and the Chaplin in Lima next year.  Whatever comes your way today in the line of work, take time for you!!

CLEO  Good morning!!  Tulips here are such a common thing, I never thought about not having the right weather to grow them.

GRAMMY  I hope all your testing/procedures turn out well today.

Good Morning All - have been working at the bookstore a lot and went to DS's last Thur and stayed until Monday.  Enjoyed my time with grands - they are growing up so fast.

Today would have been my DH's 69th BD.  Always a sad day for me so will go in and work to keep my mind occupied.

Spend most of yesterday afternoon watching the TV.  My thoughts and prayers are with all the families from Ft Hood.  Just up the road a piece from here.

My coffee is ready so need to get a cup, read the paper and then shower & get ready to move more books!!

Hope all have a wonderful day - cloudy here right now but sunshine later when fog burns off.

Treasure each other in the recognition that we do not know how long we shall have each other.

Greenback: My legs got like that but take a medicine for it before bed. Sometimes if I have been on the a lot, they will cramp. IF my heating pad heated faster, I could get rid of them faster too, but it is so slow; an new. You will sure be having a lot of fun with your friends.  I'm sure your DD is happy; I know I would be.

Stylist: 62-3 ahh my first, married year. I wonder if this shooting was done because it happened at Veteran's day. It's just such a shame.  I know you'll enjoy your DGC, so have fun. Stylist, I'm sure they'd stay inside the camper where the heat is but not sure camping would be a thing if they were there. My DD is not a cold weather person.

Suzi: I'll have to go back and read again the posts as I didn't see Granny1967; been wondering where she and SharonF have been. Oh how beautiful those tulips will surely be; I love yellow ones also.

Cleo: Good morning to you. So you don't get cold weather? or not cold enough for the tulips.

Mimmit: What do you hear about the shootings; I've not seen it as DSIL usually watches the tv and I don't have one in here anymore. Enjoy your day too.

I'm going to iron and crack some more pecans. I did almost one bucket last night and my, my, what a mess; they flew everywhere. I'll put towel over them today to keep it confined, I hope.

    Re: 11-06-09 - Grannie Neighborhood

    Good morning, grannies.

Gee, it's 50 degrees, already. Dare I say it could be an Indian Summer weekend.

JANE, great time for you and the Ya-Ya's next Wed. Never saw the show in Dells, although the Sr. Center takes trips for the show.

STYLIST, have fun with the DGC. Probably be a game night, eh? So sad about Ft. Hood. Several WI young people stationed there, all are OK.

SUZI, hope the banana remedied that "rumbly in your tumbly".

CLEO, tulips here, too. But, hard to plant the bulbs in our clay soil. You have some pretty flowers that wouldn't grow up here in the frozen tundra.

SHARON B, nice time for your little girls and their friends. Now, is this a quiet weekend for you?

Hi, MIMIB, good to see you. Always fun with the grands. And, I see you are still helping at the book store. I wondered how close you were to Ft. Hood.

Russell's van and the garage have the hunting equipment ready to go for next week. I just have to bake a pie for this one. Each of the The Boys brings a pie to share. And, this time brother Carl does the cooking.

I am lining up the craft fairs for this weekend and those to come. Hope I find some new ideas.

    MORNING GREENBACK

LEG CRAMPS ARE NO FUN WHENEVER THEY COME.  AT LEAST, SO FAR YOU CAN OVERCOME THEM BY MOVING!!   A FEW YEARS BACK I HAD THEM SO BAD THAT I COULD NOT EVEN MOVE MY LEG INTO A COMFORTABLE POSITION TO TRY AND EASE THEM.  I DON'T CRY EASY BUT I SURE DID THEN.  ANYWAY, HOPE THEY DO NOT GET ANY WORSE FOR YOU.

FRENCH TOAST SOUNDS GOOD THIS AM.  HAVEN'T HAD THAT IN QUITE A WHILE.  YES, PLEASE DO POUR ME A CUP OF THAT COFFEE AND THANK YOU FOR MAKING BREAKFAST.

CERTAINLY HOPE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE THAT TRIP TO THE DELLS AND THE CHRISTMAS SHOW.

IS THAT WINDOWS 7 SOMETHING FOR THE COMPUTER.  LIKE A NEW PROGRAM?

34 HERE BUT SUN SHINING.   AM DRESSED, LOAD OF LAUNDRY GOING AND TIME TO GO GET A REAL CUP OF COFFEE AND BREAKFAST.   OHHHHH  MICH WEATHER. . . JUST LOOKED OUTSIDE AND SUN IS GONE SO IT IS JUST GOING TO BE A NORMAL DAY.

    TAKE CARE

    Good Morning Grannies.

Sunshine and 46*. Just a little cooler than you Nancy, but then I'm just a tiny bit further north, too! LOL Going to be Indian Summer here for a couple more days.

SharonB, do you have a special nutcracker for all those pecans. Sure would like a couple of cups (AFTER they are cracked!)

    Hi Mimib and Stylist.

Cleo, did you ever try keeping the bulbs in the fridge until time to plant to chill them?

Suzi, will you be doing some sewing again?

Jane, shouldn't be a crowd when going on a weekday. Enjoy the show.  Is your DD taking computer classes?

Such a lazy day yesterday, so I will try and make it up today. May go out and mow up some of the leaves into windrows, however, it is looking kind of windy out so far. And can always do cleaning!

    MORNING STYLIST

YES, WHAT A TRAGEDY AT FT. HOOD.  AM JUST CATCHING BITS OF THE STORY AND AM I RIGHT A PSCHCOLOGIST STARTED THE SHOOTING THERE.  AN ENLISTED ONE AT THAT!!  YOU KNOW, WE CERTAINLY ARE LIVING IN SOME SCARY TIMES.   SO GLAD THAT I HAVE MY FAITH IN GOD WHICH BELIEVE ME AT TIMES IS VERY MUCH TESTED.  YOU JUST GOT A PRAY FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW GOD AS THERE OWN PERSONAL SAVIOUR.

DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT I AM GOING TO DO TODAY.  AT LEAST, I AM DRESSED AND GUESS THAT IS A BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT.  MADE APPLE BREAD, AND BLUEBERRY BREAD YESTERDAY SO THE BAKING URGE IS GONE FOR A FEW HOURS.  OHHH I AM SURE I WILL COME UP WITH SOMETHING.   AHHH ALREADY DID, MY VACUUM CLEANER NEEDS THE FILTER TAKEN OUT AND CLEANED SO THAT IS A GOOD START.  BASEMENT STEPS NEED SOME WASHING DOWN TOO.   THERE THAT WILL BE A START.

HAVE A GOOD DAY AND ENJOY YOUR DGC TONITE.                      SO LONG
