Good Morning to All the Sleepy Grannies this beautyful morning, hope you All have a Great Day.

Good Morning no craft show here today just the same ol same ol. We will be going to /Grand Rapids so i need to get my grocery shopping list done.

We had a nice trip to Frankenmuth yesterday oh so many Christmas decorations to see. I bought a few mostly for Christmas gifts. I did buy myself a glass castle. It is not the blown glass but the glass that is melted and then put in little swirls to form all kinds of good designs. I have a few other pieces and this one will stay out all year. I got one for my DD and SIL for first year together with their names and wedding date and some for the girls as I get them one every year and a few other things mostly for me.

It was a lot of driveing and my DD gets in a lot of pain from riding a long ways. It is about 170 miles one way. This is one reason I don't go there every year LOL .

It is supposed to be nice weather today so I hope that young man I hired to do my lawn comes and finishes the job. He is making me a little mad. He got the front done and the back is all in piles I have the bags now so wish he would finish the job. Ok I was the perpetual fool I already paid him so I doubt I will see him again . Grrrrr. I do tend to be trusting which surprises me considering the job I used to do LOL .

Ok no coffee here today but time to get my testing and other stuff done. I don't think I should eat either going to WW today as I was gone on Thursday. They don't meet until noon there so it will be a long time before I can eat. Then going grocery shopping so I will leave now to make my list.

Good Morning Apple and CP.  A craft fair sounds fun today.

MJ, you had a big trip and good shopping, sounds like.

I did some shopping yesterday afternoon, but by the time we ate supper and went to Hobby Lobby, it was closed.  I really wanted to get some Christmas material to make Christmas pillowcases for the DGC.  Guess I'll try again soon.  I have to drive 35 miles to get to a fabric store except for the meager supply WM has.

Have pumpkin spice, lemon filled, and rasberry filled doughnuts this morning.

Good morning and a beautiful morning it is.  The sun is so bright and the temp is already 47º.  We have a wedding to attend this afternoon.  This will be a couple who met via the internet.  Actually, the uncle of the bride to be works with the groom.  She's from the Philipines and he's been a widow for about 4-5 years.  She arrived here about a week ago and according to those that have been around her, she seems frightened.  Who could blame her?  a strange location and very few of her family members here.

I have pumpkin donuts, so help yourselves.

MJ  The trip to Frankenmuth sounds so good and it sounds like you found some very nice things.  The ornament to  your DD and SIL sounds perfect.  We went there about 30 years ago and haven't been back although we did enjoy it. We stopped on our way back from Mackinaw.

CP  Are you looking for a particular craft when you go?  I bet you can find lots of new ideas.  Have a good time.

APPLE  Did you go to the NY yankee ticker parade?  I just couldn't resist.  Thanks for the flavored coffee, I do enjoy pumpkin but like it to be "in season".  Silly huh? since it tastes the same year round.  LOL

CLEO  The Christmas pillow cases sound very nice.  I never would have thought of that but then, I'm not a "crafty" person.  Our WM doesn't have a material department but I sure wished it did.

I look a mess so better get my hair done and other things around the house.

I came back to see who is up & doing what!  :)

MJ:  love to look at all the pretty Christmas ornaments & things..................But I have sooo many now !!  I also pick up a few special ones for KATE but have already done that at some of the Estate/House Sales we have had!   I am still looking for a 1993 Christmas plate for her.

Christmas pillow cases...........what a great idea Cleo!   I should make some for my little friends.........gonna check my material stash!

Laundry going; will dry when I get back.   Elaine: even got KATE going with us! :O)

& I just got to watch the parade on the news last nite!    Proud Players after a 9 year wait!

Goodmorning Grannies. It's another beautiful fall day. Sunshine and temp around 70* today and tomorrow.

Apple I take time for a cup of coffee at the table this morning. I'll have a pumpkin donut that sounds good this morning.  WOW! How big do you so suppose that hog wasSurprise

CP looks like it's craft fair time for lots of grannies this time of the yr.  What did you and dd have at the craft fairs.

MJ sounds like you and dd had a good time at the Christmas shop. I haven't been there for several yrs. They do have so many beautiful things I have trouble deciding what the get. Finally $$$$ helps narrow the choice!

Cleo now I will have to have one of those lemon filled donuts too! We have Hobby Lobby here. It will soon be our only fabric store and it doesn't carry a big selection. JoAnns is closing and WM closed out fabric sometime ago.

Goodmorning Stylist I can only imagine how scary it would be for the bride to move to a new country and start a marriage. You did say a few of her family are in the area that will help a lot. Had the couple met before she came here this past week? I'll be meeting #1 at "our mall" today. Good memories of that timeBig Smile

Time to scoot. Laundry to do and always some cleaning then I'll be ready to head ou to meet dd when she calls.

    Good Morning Grannies,

My get up and go has gotten up and left! LOL

Thank goodness it's the week-end, I can relax!  Planning on dinner with some of the Historical Society members with  another towns HS. They are having a Spaghetti Dinner for just $10 and DH would like to go.  I'll see how my tummy feels.  Think I'm alittle out of sorts.

Yawn, I'm going out to the porch and soak in nature.  SYL

Good morning Grannies!  It is 55* going to 68*. And sunny too. Couldn't ask for much more. Oh well, I could but would be greedy!
APPLE--Thanks for the open door this morning. The craft show sounds like fun. Do they have big crowds?
CHRISTA---Do you ever come to the craft show in Crawfordsville? I think it must be about time for it. It is put on by the Extension Homemakers in that county.  There is also one here in our town at the grade school. It is put on by the PTO I believe. I haven't been to either one in several years. My knees couldn't take it.
MJ----What a productive day you had yesterday. Now on to making that list. It is a necessary thing to do.
CLEO---Our local WM doesn't have a fabric dept. anymore. Wish it did. Those pillowcases sound like fun. Lots are being shown in the quilting magazines.
STYLIST---Another day of nice weather. Us too!  Love to sit and watch the sunshine and the breeze blowing the leaves around.
Well must get busy. I smell that the coffee is done. I really need a cup this morning.  BBL   Suzi

Good morning Grammy--Such a memory building time for all your family. Enjoy the time.
Liny---Take care of your tummy. Don't want you down sick. Soak up lots of nature.

    Re: /+\ SATURDAY 11-7 Grannie's Chat /+\

Good Morning Grannies. It  is 48* and beautiful sunshine. No wind blowing, so later I will go out and mow up the leaves into windrows. Then we can scoop them up and put in the trailer and dump in the woodlot.

CP, no craft shows for me, I think they are so boring. But I'm not a crafty person.

MJ, glad you enjoyed your trip to Frankenmuth. I was there only once in the summer and the Christmas stuff didn't interest me at that time.

Cleo, the only store for fabric here is WM, altho' there is a quilt store just opened in my shopping town. It is owned by a former Amish girl and she will be offering quilting classes soon. But I can't afford quilt shop fabrics. $$$$$

    Waving at Stylist and Grammy.

Liny, we have different ideas. I think $10 for a spaghetti dinner is high priced!  LOL   I have been reading books set in the Middle Ages and when someone is not feeling good, they say the "humours" in their bodies are off! LOL

Suzi, may be in high 60s here today, too. Our walmart still has a pretty good fabric selection. I was worried it would be out after the recent remodeling.

    Time for coffee.....................

Good morning. It's bright and sunny here. I think Gary is already out "gathering" leaves. I'll do in a few minutes. I really do think this will finally be the end. So far this week only 4 bags.

Apple thanks for the donuts. I can eat ANY kind with anything. Love them.

Christa my DM and I used to do craft fairs. I wasn't working at the time and it gave her something to do when she had to stay in. Have fun.

MJ sounds like you had a nice time shopping. Those glass things sounds so nice. Don't you just hate those guys that can't live up to their word.

Cleo I'm not even sure where a "real" fabric store is around here. There is a quilt shop one way and warehouse fabric store the other way and that is about it. I can usually find what I want at one of them it's just that the prices at the warehouse are hard to beat.

Stylist sounds like a fun wedding.

Better get dressed and get out side to help before he comes looking for me.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Good morning, grannies.

I am leaving shortly for an LWML Zone Rally at my church. Ladies from eight churches will be meeting.

KATHIE, craft fairs starting here, too. Let us know if you see some new ideas.

CP, I went to a craft fair, yesterday. GLEE is going to the same one, today. I am always looking for something new to make.

MJ, was thinking of you yesterday at the Christmas store. I knew you'd find some lovely items.

CLEO, I have craft stores and WM near me, but HL is 45 minutes away, either north or south of Milwauke, WI. My WM has quite a nice choice of material. Loved seeing you on the grannie pic.

STYLIST, at least the day will be decent for a wedding. I'm thinking it will be a small gathering.

GRAMMY, busy day for you, again. I remembered DD was coming with helps for the wedding.

LINY, you just rest while that get and go is gone. For sure, it will return.

SUZI, this could be our Indian Summer. Weather people have been talking it up, also. They think we may see a 70 this weekend.

LILY, looks like the wind will cooperate with your leaf gathering, today. It's hard to resist the pretty material at the quilt shops. I even go to one when I need something special.

ALBY, I see it's "gathering" time at your house, too. Russell used the blower yesterday to mulch some of my plants near the house. But, for the big lawn he just chopped the leaves up. How's our Albert boy, today?

The rally starts at nine, so I am ready to head out the door.

     Good Morning...

I'm on a roll...so can't stay here long.  Had breakfast, got laundry going and now need to steam mop the floors.  Then a little more window washing.  The weather is beautiful out there....going to the mid 60's today and tomorrow.  DH still has some yard work to finish up when he gets home from work.  Then tomorrow he will probably go on a long bike ride.

The kitties are getting along real well.....so maybe it won't be too bad once DD moves back home in Dec.

    Enjoy the day everyone....................BBL

I'm finally dressed, hair done, just finished eating my pumpkin donut, have 1st load of laundry in the dryer, 2nd load in the washer and one more to go.  I also need to dust and do some sprucing up inside.

LILY  Books from the Middle Ages would bore me to sleep.

SUZI  Well I would enjoy those 68º temps and I know you will.  Watching the dancing leaves can be wonderful.  Our neighbors dog is so funny, she's always trying to catch them.

LINY  I enjoy spaghetti anytime.  We planned on having that for supper last night with the DGC but their mom fed them before they got here so we took goulash and garlic toast out of the freezer and had that.  I hope your tummy settles down.

GRAMMY  Oh yes, the Mall !!! Great memories of the beginning of new friendships with the Grannies!!!  Enjoy the visit with DD, I'm sure you will.  Lots of talking I bet!!  Will you eat lunch at the mall?

ALBY  You'll get your exercise helping with the leaves!  No treadmill needed today.  Enjoy the nice weather.

ATV  The wedding will be large as the groom has 10 siblings, all married and all have children.  I'm sure from her side, it'll be small.  Enjoy the rally, I know you will as you're definitely a people person and a pleasant one.

CJ  I'll fix some tea and scones for you if you'll come and wash my windows.  LOL  It's nice that the kitties are enjoying each other.  Your DH should have a nice day for biking.

Time to destroy some dust bunnies.
