Want to go to walmart today and see if they have any more turkey's for 40 cent. That is to good of a buy to not checkout. Also want to hit the dollar store and Dollar general. There is a big holiday market/craft fair at the coliseum that I would like to go to.There is over 350 crafter's there and Lots & Lots of SNOWMEN(LOL).

Well I have rambled enough. Will address you all later.Been up since 5 when the dog decided she needed to go out.So I just can't think of what i want to say right now.

Good Morning ladies. HAPPY SATURDAY! YAY! The weekend is here! I'm feeling much better this morning, but last night, i felt so tired, and achey, not sure if it was allergies or what. This morning dh is feeling that way!  Not much going on yet, we slept in a little, and now dh is downstairs checking on the wood stove, it's so warm and toasty downstairs! Oldest ss came in last night, and very excited to have a car of his own. DH and i are enjoying our morning coffee, and had a pumpkin muffin to go with it, well, dh had TWO muffins!! This morning we're going to the Hallmark store, They have their second ornament premiere, and the ornament I want, Angel of peace comes out today. I bought dh a motorcycle ornament when it came out in the summer. One of our holiday traditions we've started is, we buy eachother a christmas ornament every year. I'm sure eventually we'll stop, but for now it's a fun tradtion to carry on. WE give the ornament to eachother the night we put up the christmas tree. I also want to do a load of laundry, and change the sheets on our bed. i haven't given dinner tonight a thought, so I have to figure out what we'll do.

Margie, Sounds like you have a nice day planned. i don't blame you for not wanting to help out at the church, not fair, for those responsible to just watch all of you working. Have fun shopping.

Thats it for now. I'll check back in a little while. Hope everyone hasa great day!

    HUGS!
    Denise

    Happy Saturday Morning!

It is 6:43am and we have 46 degrees.  Going up into the 60's today! Woot -woot ~ heat wave ~ !!

This morning I have 2 desserts to make.  The Legion is having a Pork Chop Dinner this evening and the Auxillary makes the desserts.  I am making an Apple Coffeecake and a Chocolate Cream Torte.  We are all going to go and eat there for supper.  We are treating Ryan and Ash too.  It is always soooooooo delish!  These pork chops are sooo big and tender.  YUMMO!

Margie - I hope you get to that craft fair - that would be on the top of my priority list for today!  I think you need one or two or three.... or more snowmen!!!!!!!!   I would not go and clean,  you've done it other times, let someone else do it.  Besides,  that is not what your back needs right now!

    Hugs to all...............

Good morning, woke up to our first frost and it was 29 out.  To hit 60 today.  Was 40's and windy yesterday.   Had a stiff neck all day yesterday, a bit better today but can't turn either way without feeling it.  Ended up at chic fil a last night for dinner so making my Italian wedding soup right now for lunch.   Also have the cake part made for Scott's cake, a Boston cream pie.  He is 29 today.  Ed is at the other house working to get things ready for more tool type stuff to go over.  Will head to trash later and it's take your paint, batteries etc day for free.  Need to iron later.

Supper will either be pizza or ?.

Margie, that is a good price on turkey.  Have a good day.

Denise, glad you feel better, hope Dh does soon.

    Hi Girls,

35 already this morning, suppose to get into the 50's today, but its cloudy and spitting rain. My brother had to work on this side of the state yesterday so he stopped in last night for a visit. That was great to see him. I ended up having to go get Justin from school yesterday as soon as I  got home from grocery shopping and the christmas bazzar. Poor guy. This darn bronchitis is holding on to him. Today hubby is working overtime and the boys and I are taking it easy~! Have a great day Sisters,

    Love, Tracie

    from Sherry.........

Boy, this has been one rough week. I would say I will be glad when it is over but next week is really going to be crazy busy...so I don't know. I have got to remember to call Monday morning and move the pulmonologist appointment back a couple weeks or so. No way can I cram that in this week, but I have to get Bo in for his rabies shot which means baths for the dogs first as they really need them...so I guess that will be tonight after dark or Monday. If I don't get to the grocery store, I am going to be sucking my thumb for lunches. I might end up with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I'm not sure.

The city is after me again. GRRR. It isn't grass this time like it was at the other house. That would be easy. Somebody supposedly complained about the boxes in my carport which means I have to make room in the house for them and move everything out there into the house (which is a joke as there is no room in here either) or else I have to rent a storage place or put up another storage building. The thing is that stuff has been there for 3 or 4 years and nobody has said a word. According to them you can see it from the street. You really can't see much of it unless you go right up in the driveway to the pool fence and look over the fench because the carport is very shaded.  But if I don't watch it I will end up in court again. which I really do not want or need. Oh yes, there is a 4th option. I can get a trap door and install it in the attic in the laundry room or have somebody do it for me and then I can lug the boxes up there. That might not be too bad of an option because then I could put some of the boxes in some of the rooms around here up there. Its just weird because the next door neighbor has cars with no wheels, a trailer with 2 flat tires, and a lot of washers and dryers he is trying to sell in his front yard and driveway....so I have no clue. I know this sounds paranoid, but sometimes I think that when the city is running low on complaints, the inspectors drive around looking for violations to justify their jobs as in they have to have so many complaints a week and if they don't, they look for some. It sure does seem like that, but it may not be. I really wish I could pick up the house and the pool and the lot and move them all to some other city. I am really sick and tired of Phoenix but I don't see why I should have to move from the house I grew up in, so I guess I will just have to deal with and try to vote the mayor out of office ASAP. He is terrible!!!! Oh how I wish I could live in Pisgah Forest NC and work and go to church in Phoenix (like that is going to happen LOL). It was so nice living out in the country, but the job situation is soooo awful in that little town...actually the whole county. We lived like 10 miles outside the town.  I know I am paranoid to start with this week because of Mike showing up again. That always unnerves me.

And....my auto insurance has been with the same company ever since I was a little kid basically. My parents had their insurance with this lady's parents and in all these years, they have been wonderful to me when I was in that accident, when Gregg's nephew was in an accident in my truck, everything. I have been paying my bills online for months or years with no problem. All of a sudden there is a problem where things aren't being credited to my account....so I get this cancellation notice that says if I don't pay the rest of the 6 months premium by the end of November they will cancel the insurance. Well, I could mail it but I don't want to wait in the post office line to get the certification and return receipt stuff done and I won't mail it to Dallas without proof that they received it. But instead of that, I am going to try to stop by the office after work on Monday. I'm sure we will have overtime all week again except Wednesday which is the day we are working our holiday. I'm hoping she can straighten this out. I also sent her an e-mail, but I doubt she answers it before I get to her office.

Anybody want to help me tear my hair out (LOL)????

I need to go clean the church after work today as I didn't get it done yesterday after all this. I was too upset to go out. It was a little much for a Friday, which is the day when I am always tired and end up going to bed early. I might be scarce on the board in the afternoon next week. It would be great if we didn't have to work the holiday as I could spend that day working on it, but we aren't off, so not much I can do about it. At least we shouldn't get overtime which would be double time. This has to be finished by next Friday, so I may not get much else done this done this week and I am going to be exhausted. Our friend was going to lay the laminate in the living room, dining room and hallway this week but that had to go on the back burner because he will have to help me. I will probably have to make a trip or two to the dump and then the rest of the stuff will have to go somewhere temporarily while I go through it. I guess I know what I will be doing tomorrow after church!

Sorry to be on such a tirade. I will get through it I'm sure, but it sure is frustrating. Why can't they bother the criminals and drug pushers and stop Mike from harrassing me instead of treating me like I am a criminal? GRRRR.

How is everybody else doing today. I hope better than me. I have to get going on my cup of coffee here.
I did get to bed at 8:30 and slept well. Not sure what is for dinner. Might pick up something so I have more time to deal with  working on the carport. Will try to work on putting the pool chemicals into the back room. Won't have a lot of time before it gets dark to do a lot of things. Might be able to get one bag out to the trash.

My mind is not functional enough yet to think of much to say.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get to do something fun with your families.

My brother and his wife sent me a new three phone cordless phone set which will be great. That was my birthday present and was what I asked for. This one was really good but it is dead and the batteries won't hold a charge. Will get the friend to set that up next week some time.

Boy this has not been much of a June post today and I have to start scrambling to find something for lunch also so I need to get off of here.

Good morning! Balmy 45º here right now with bright sunshine; supposed to be a little windy, but sunny & a high around 65 - woohoo!!

I'm waiting for the cakes to cool, so I can get them iced & start decorating. Using whipped icing so it's not so heavy & sweet, and will use blue for writing & decorating. Making roses, really hope they turn out; roses are not one of my strong points. Dinner is at 5:30 at the restaurant uptown where Shelly works and she is going to be our waitress. My dad's birthday was yesterday & my brother's is today, so they will be 2 of the honoree's; supposed to be about 30 of us, should be fun!

Margie, don't blame you for not doing clean-up and I agree with Patti that it probably wouldn't be good for your back. Really hope you get to go shopping and find some cute new snowmen to add to your collection!!

Denise, glad SS made it in. Sweet tradition you & DH have with the ornaments; have fun shopping today as well!

Patti, your desserts sound divine! Hope you all have a great time at the dinner tonight!

Jill, sorry about the stiff neck, hope it's better soon. Happy Happy Birthday to Scott!!

Tracie, nice your brother could stop for a visit! Hugs for Justin, poor guy; hope he feels better soon.

Deb, sounds like a fun afternoon with the boys - enjoy!!

((((Sherry)))), sorry it's been such a bad week; sending you hugs & prayers.

((Sheila))  hope you have a nice weekend with your kids; keeping you in prayer.

Wishing you all a great weekend!  :)

    hugs, Lisa

Happy Weekend!! I don't mean to brag, BUT the weather here in FLA is just gorgeous. Finally!! It's warm & breezy with very little humidity. Today I'd like to wash floors and do a little shopping. DH & I have been going to late afternoon church on Saturdays, so will be doing that too. I'm excited to try some of the Christmas recipes some of you have posted. They look awesome! I usually only have time to do 2 or 3 recipes and I'll do them Christmas Eve...can you believe it?? This year, I'll try to do what you all do and bake ahead & freeze. Well I best get going, floors are just getting dirtier as I sit here. Hope you all and your families are staying healthy. ((Margie)) : I wish I had some craft fairs to go to. I just love to do that. Have fun!..It's a hike for us, but maybe I'll talk DH into taking me to Cracker Barrell later or tomorrow morning, I love eating & browsing around there.....((Sherry)) , I'm sure everything will work out, sorry you're frustrated...I like PB&J, but it sounds like you need better comfort food!! .... Waving Hello & sending hugs to all ... Mary

Good Morning Ladies!  Oh it is soooo cold here!  Got really windy and cold yesterday, but the wind died down now.  DH and Joey are going out to clean up the yard and the garage so I can get my car in for the winter.  Have to go over  and bring over the picnic table from the neighbors house too.

I worked yesterday, and DH and I got home around the same time, so for supper we went to Texas Roadhouse, the boys had steak and I had a chicken breast, was good, also had a Bloomin' onion....LOVE those things!  LOL.  Then came home and called it a night.  Joey was up at 5 and vomited, so had to change his sheets and jammies, and I threw them in, had to clean the carpet too, looks like it came out.  He said he feels better now.

This afternoon we are going for our family portrait, just the 3 of us, it'll be my Christmas gift.  I also want to see how much it is to make one from our wedding album, could kick myself for not getting a big one done years ago.  It is a beautiful one of DH and I under a tree arbor with the fog rolling in, really looks great, so we'll see.  Then not sure, probably take it easy.  Maybe pizza or cheese steaks for supper.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  Waving to Margie, Jill, Patti, Lisa, Laura, Tracie, Denise, Laura C, Jolene, Deb, Sherry, and anyone else I missed!

    Hugs,

    Good Morning June friends!

I've been up for awhile puttering around. Took a walk around the yard to make sure the roofers did a good job of cleaning up, they sure did! New roof looks great, and sure didn't take them long!

Oldest DD is working today, she picked up an extra shift, needs money to pay license for car end of month. Youngest DD has a friend over for a sleepover, not sure when the friend's going home. Hope DD doesn't have much homework this weekend, she was scrambling all week to finish up all her unfinished assignments, cut off for report cards was yesterday. She has a soccer game later this afternoon.

Last night my arm where I got the H1N1 shot was hurting a lot, this morning it's a lot better.

Margie, I agree, you should stay home and take care of your back. If you have time bake some cookies and send them along for the workers and you've done your duty! Nice of your church to do this and nice if your kids learn about helping communities.

Sherry, do you think it might be Mike calling in these petty complaints?? Does the city check complaints or just take people at their word? If I was you I'd get someone to come take a look and show them that your yard's fine.

Hope all the other Junes have a great weekend! Off to refill my coffee.

Good morning Junes! Somewhat cool still here but will get warmer,I hear. Having ham, corn ,potatoes, and those chocolate chip cookies I never made the other day!

Margie-The craft show sounds great! I wish I could go with you. Thanks for posting all those wonderful recipes for Christmas cookies and candy. Some I never heard of before. So sorry to hear about your brother having swine flu! Will pray for him.

Jill-Ooooh, yummy, fruitcake! I absolutley LOVE homemade fruitcake. I never make it though, because not many like it around here, so I won't make it for myself. Tell me how it turns out.

Patti-Also,  the chocolate cream torte sounds good. Of course though, anything chocolate is good, right?

Deb- Sorry to hear your boys woke up sick. Will pray for them too.

Sherry-Gee, sounds like  you did have a rough week for sure! I agree with you about the complaint about your boxes. How crazy to be picked on for something as simple as that when like you say "they" could be getting more criminals ,instead of picking on good law abiding citizens. Living up here "they" never pick on anyone. But, where my sister lives near Rochester, Ny." they" bugged her for having a car without a license  parked in the middle of her wooded 30 acres! Now, how in the world could "they" have seen it unless by helicopter? Hmmm, sound fishy to me. I think it as you say , they have to meet a quota or something, huh? Well, hope this coming week goes much better for you!Smile

Well need to get off puter soon , so stop for now. Saying greetings to all the rest of Junes for sure!  Florry.

Cake is in the fridge, rest of soup in the freezer and I was out washing the front of the old house.  It's upper 50s, sunny and windy but it was so moldy, it looked terrible so that is done and we'll do a good job come spring.   Just never got to it this year and as it was a wet summer it was worse than usual.   Ed is moving lots of stuff to the old house from the shed and cleaning up.  I'm being lazy now.  Got rather cold and a bit wet so glad to shower and warm up.  I'm going to read in a bit.  Neck still stiff but not as bad as yesterday.  Nothing you can do for it really, tho have been putting heat on it.
