    Gravy

    While in the Air Force stationed at Pope AFB, N.C. The NCO Club served a chopped sirloin steak with a "mushroom gravy" in a side bowl. It had a flavor similar to Heinz 57 sauce. I have tried to duplicate this and can't get it right. Does anyone have this recipe that I crave?

    Experiment:
    Use haf Heinz 57 and half water, add juice/pan drippings (from steak) and a small can f mushrooms. Thicken with starch r flour and add a tad of sour cream or just cream.

    I never use a recipe for gracy or sald dressing, just wing it.
