    Brownie recipe

I am desparately searching for a brownie recipe that was in one of the first issues of Taste of Home. The brownies call for an entire can of Hershey's Syrup, and the frosting is made with marshmallows. If anyone has this recipe, please share. Thanks!!!

    BEST CAKE BROWNIES

1/2 c. butter or marg, softened
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
1 can (16 oz) chocolate syrup
    1 t. vanilla extract
    1 c. flour
    1/2 t. salt

    GLAZE:
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. butter or marg.
    1/3 c. milk
    2/3 c. semisweet chocolate chips
    2/3 c. miniature marshmallows

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in chocolate syrup and vanilla. Add the flour and salt until blended. Pour into a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. (top of brownies will still appear wet). Cool on a wire rack for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil; boil until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat; stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows until melted. Pour over the brownies and spread evenly. Refrigerate for 5 minutes before cutting. Yield: about 3 dozen.
