    my mother and my aunt used to make a cake called Jewish Cake, I can only remember that it had coconut, chocolate squares, and Eagle Brand Milk in it. Does anyone have the recipe for this. If so please email to me at lpernia@bellsouth.net

    This recipe has been referred to as Jewish Cake and Jewish Brownies.

    Don't know if this is what you were looking for, but very tasty.


    Jewish Brownies

    1/2# oleo
    3T cocoa
    1/2c sugar
    Cream together and add

    1/2c ground walnuts
    3 eggs
    1c flour
    Blend together well.
    Pour into greased 9x13 and bake in preheated 350F oven for 20-25 minutes.

    Combine
    2c coconut
    1 can sweentened condensed milk
    Pour onto hot cake and return to oven for 15 minutes more.

    In saucepan, combine
    4T cocoa
    6T milk
    1 stick oleo
    melt and then let come to boil for 1 minute stirring constantly. Stir in 1 box powdered sugar. Spread over hot cake.

    Cool and cut into squares.
