Sounds good. Do you drain the pineapple?

    How do you serve this?
I work in a nursing home, and this sound like something that my resident would like.
    Thanks Donna

Do you think this would work with fat free sweetened condensed milk and lite cherry pie filling. I think I will try it, but I don't have the pie filling right now. I just have blueberry and apple.

    Allia, Yes, drained pineapple well.

    Donna, Unmold, slice and serve.

gratefulservant, I never made it with lowfat milk and lite pie filling.
If you do make it that way, please report back and tell me how it turn out.

This has been a favorite here for years, it has to be on the table for thanksgiving and christmas. My MIL gave me the recipe 30 years ago. But I use a large can of crushed pineapple. I usually freeze it in a pretty bowl or a covered container if I'm going to keep it for awhile. Its also easier to serve if you take it out of the freezer about 20-30 minutes before serving.

This sounds good and easy - I assume it is a dessert....if so would up serve it with anything on the side. We are driving to our daughter's who is moving into a new home and packing a cooler with casseroles, spaghetti sauce, etc. because we will be too busy to prepare food. I needed a dessert...Thanks.
