Cherry Freeze
1 15-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 can cherry pie filling
1 sm. can crushed pineapple...drained well ..(or you can use a large can of crushed pineapple ...drained well)
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 c. whipped cream
Mix all ingredients; pour into 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Cover with foil.
Freeze for 24 hours before serving.
Unmold and slice...and serve.....
Yield: 18 servings.

NOTE:
This has been a favorite here for years, it has to be on the table for thanksgiving and christmas. My MIL gave me the recipe 30 years ago. But I use a large can of crushed pineapple.
I usually freeze it in a pretty bowl or a covered container if I'm going to keep it for awhile.
It's also easier to serve if you take it out of the freezer about 20-30 minutes before serving.
