The new BB-------Do you like it?

I think that I'd like it a lot more if it weren't so SLOW!  I've looked around and there's a lot of good stuff included, but if it doesn't pick up the pace, I know that I won't be spending a lot of time on here anymore.  Unfortunately, there's probably a lot of people that won't be able to peek in anymore from their jobs if it remains this way.   

It is now so much like bakespace.com

It will take some getting use to!

I like to see who initiated a post more than who responded last.It appears you have to open the post to see that now.

 

The reason I like to see who initiated it is that some members have extremely similar taste preferences to our own and others may require certain dietary  restrictions or  often use Recipe ingredients I do not care for  or utilize that often.

. If I am short of time I scan for BB participants whose recipes are generally right on track with my likes and dislikes.

Sure is different then the old BB. Guess we all have to give it time to sink in and learn the new BB. Other than being very slow...it seems to be ok. 

 I must say, the only outfit I can wear with this new board, is called 'CONFUSION' by its designer.  In case you don't have one, it is a dark color in some spots, light in others and all kinds of big blotches of every color imaginable.  It is hard to find the neck opening to put on.

So, I stand here, staring at outfit 'CONFUSION' because I am not exactly sure how to even get into it, or out of it once I get in!

 

I just totally love it as it's so much like my favorite other boards to visit.  The hardest part was getting back to the recipe page after I got on the recipe search for the home page.  I've already found my own favorites, posted under my old name of Blueridge, and I've found my Magnolia Bakery recipes.  I will find the others as I have time but for now I have to say I love this format!  Lin

 

Don't know what happened to my last post, but as you can see I'm still learning too.  So far I think it's OK.  It'll take a while before I check out everything.

Change can be a good thing.

Hi everyone---looks pretty neat!  Lots of stuff to browse around and look into--like the tags and blogs.  Lots to do!  At least we can all still chat!!  That's what's important! 

So far I am finding it very slow. . ..and I,too, would rather see the original poster than the latest. I want to know whose thread I am getting into. I am sure I'll be able to navigate more quickly after I've used it a few times, but it seems to take a lot of "steps" to get anything done.  

Boy, I don't know yet.   I'm not much for change, either, and I find it to be slow????

And, I joined in Jan. of 2002?????

I agree with Alliea, I like to see who originated a post too. Not only that, I miss all the categories being visible all the time so that we can just click on one to go there rather than having to back out of posts or take the long way around by going back home.

John, if you'll go up to the top of the page, you can click on "Recipes" ( where it says Taste of Home Community » Community Forums » Recipes » The new BB-------Do you like it?) and it will take you back to the main page faster than "backing" out. Also, I did a post with a suggestion about how to tell "who" started a post. If folks will use that method, even though it seems strange, it would work for now.
