    Good Morning.

I had trouble logging on.  I guess the bugs get worked out.

Dinner is shrimp scampi and ceaser salad. I will make some bread, too.

     Hi,

This sure is different.  It will just take time getting used to.  The snow is falling lightly outside and it is cold.  A high today of 30.  Dinner tonight will be John's Beef and Barley Soup with some homemade rolls.  With all the good review of this soup, thought I would try it.

Good Morning. Well what a surprise I got this morning when I tried to log on. Haven't been here for a couple of days so was not aware of the changes going on. Don't like it so far. Probably because I feel like I don't know what I'm doing.  We had our part yesterday so this week will be leftovers for most suppers tonight we will have salmon pie and rice pilaf with corn and salad. i should be able to get the rest of my shopping done this week with so little cooking to do. It's ver raw and gray here today, not sure of the actual temp. but it's not high enough to suit me. Hope you all recover from the terrible ice storms and get electricity back quickly. Take care and try to stay warm.

    Hello everyone,

I kind of like the new look here, and with a little patience we'll all get used to it after a while!

We were both a little "under the weather" yesterday. Feeling much better today.DW is home today-we will do a few errands and start gearing up for this coming weekend's Open House.

Supper tonight will be: Stuffed Peppers, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, and Crumb Topped Apple Pie.

Its 34 and cloudy here in NY today.

    Love One Another,

    FG

Jim won't be home for lunch.

I'm going to have leftover pizza.

We'll try a lean cuisine for  supper.

    Good Morning CK & All

Here it is 10:00 and 31* and snow coming down. I hope it does this all day and night....

I had pot roast yesterday, so this AM took the gravy and started adding left over beef & veges for a veg beef soup.

It will probably turn out just wonderful, never to be reliably duplicated..Tongue Tied

Good afternoon everyone. Wow, what a change to our board. Guess the changes will take a while to get use to. It took me forever to log in. I have no clue what dinner will be. Joe is off today, so he is in charge of dinner.  Hopefully he will fix something comforting.  It is a dreary, rainy day here.

Hope everyone has a good one!

Chicken and Noodles is planned for dinner tonight.  A family favorite here, that always brings a smile to everyone's face.  Sometimes simple is better.  Still getting used to this new format.  I don't have the patience to sit and click to figure things out when the response time is so slow, so housework is getting done today.  Hope things speed up in the future.  The sun is finally out and melting the snow/ice off the driveway here in Michigan, but we are gearing up for more precipitation tonight.  Have a great day!

New ... different ... a little slow ... time will tell how much "improvement" this new BB is.

Today is chilly but beautiful.  Temps will be in low 60s this afternoon, blue skies.  We could use some rain!

Tonight's dinner will be clam chowder in bread bowls.  Last night we had creamed tuna over biscuits -- I'm always surprised at how many people "have never heard of such a thing!"  My son-in-law doesn't like it much, so I try to plan it for a night he's not home.

    Have a magnificent Monday!

    Re: Monday: What's Cookin'

I tried to reply earlier but did the quick reply and it didn't ever show up so don't know where it went Confused  But so far I think they've tried to do a good job and I have to admit I really appreciated them having the BB open yesterday since the weather was so unpleasant here and lots of other places so we could get on here instead of being out in the miserable weather!!!

Have my ham hock in the slo-cooker and will do something with that but probably will save the broth for something later.  Took most of the ham off and have it packaged for other things but it does smell good in here.  Had a ziti pasta casserole that I divided up and will have some for other days which was tasty and shared some with a neighbor for her lunch.  Should be baking as it's so cold and miserable around here but better than those without electricity, heat, etc. It's supposed to get worse later today and worse tomorrow and Wed. so glad I don't have to get out!!  A couple of things have been canceled already and if the weather keeps on like they say, there will be more cancelations!  Such is winter but I do like spring and fall better!!  Take care, everyone!!!!Big Smile

I thought I understood but I wanted to do a reply,  hope this does it...I do like the larger print...maybe tonight when I  have more time to fiddle, I will enjoy it    What about if you post a recipe, how does that work....my printer is worried about me because I would have printed several recipes by now.   Shirley

I'm sure we will all get used to the new BB as the kinks get worked out. Hey,remember when computers were the size of a room and NASA used them to send rockets to the moon and nobody would ever have believed that you could have a computer in your house? We've been dealing with change all our lives and it ain't gonna stop now!

LaDonna, I was thinking about your family that was on the road this weekend as I saw the reports about the ice storm. Sounds like everybody got home safely -- I'm very glad to hear that.

DH has a meeting tonight, so DS & I will snack on something for supper. His Scout troop has their Christmas party tonight and I'm going to fix a layered Mexican dip for that.

    Re: Monday: What's Cookin'

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to reply or not. I'll see where this shows up. I got a great Christmas gift today. We had our office party at a beautiful, old southern mansion and then we all got the rest of the day off. I have been Christmas shopping all afternoon. I stopped and got a cheeseburger on the way home, so no dinner for me. I am going back out in a few minutes to do more shopping.

I think I will like this format once I get used to it. I have a question - Can you see the entire post and the picture on the left at one time on your screen? I can't. I have to scroll over to the left to see who posted. Am I doing something wrong? Have a great day.

Oh yeah - our weather. It is 77 degrees out there right now. It sure doesn't feel like Christmas shopping weather.Smile

Taking a deep breath...hoping to manage to actually make a post...test...test

This is going to take some getting used to...I hate change and it seems like the older I get the more I hate it...

We're waiting on that lovely ice storm headed our way...got the firewood chopped and ready incase we lose power...we usually do where we love...sigh

I'm ready for spring and it's not even really winter yet

Supper will be pot roast with veggies and mashed potatoes, DH made oatmeal rolls yesterday and for desert we'll roast marshmallows in the fireplace with hot chocolate
