    O.T. - Office Managers

How many of you have an office manager that does not know how to do your job?

This is nonsense to me.  Today, my office is standing on their head, because we are 11 days past the end of the month, and no one knows how to do what I do --- report wise!

Hello?  I keep telling folks we need written guidelines?  BUT when is there time to write them --- especially at my desk?

Thanks for allowing me to VENT!

I understand your frustration - I work for an attorney and believe me if he had to do my job he would be totally lost.  Job security has its benefits along with irritations!

I totally understand.  I am an office manager and I try to learn every single area of my job and everyone elses, just in case.  Now on the other hand.  When I take a day off....my boss calls me at home or wherver I am, to ask me things.  All the darn time.  Indifferent

Always treat people they way you want to be treated.

Rose Mary, I too work for attorneys.  Today has been a day!!!!  The conference call center messed up several conference calls with a million dollar client and, as much as I love my office manager, she told me, "well, I'm putting you in charge of finding a new company."  Okay.  I'll add it my list of things to do.! I have three attorneys that I'm assigned to as well as the office manger--you can just imagine what my days are like.  That's why I have you guys--you're my escape!!!!
