ISO: White Chocolates + Vanilla Wafers?? Recipe

Had a gift sent to us that is soooo yummy!! Unsure what they are exactly (and she won't tell!) but it is white chocolate that is around what seems to be a vanilla wafer 'sandwich' with something like a little bit of caramel between the wafers. THEY ARE YUMMY!! And she stated on the container best when fozen - which they never made it to since we gobbled them up rather quickly.

Any ideas out there what this simple treat may be? Would love to replicate and don't want to ask her more than once how she made them. She included pretzels dipped in white chocolate, too. Looked so nice :)

What a great idea, that sounds great!

I bet the white chocolate covered vanilla wafers would be good with dark chocolate in the middle too.

    YUM

Are you sure it isn't ritz crackers with peanut butter between them? I know that would be much different from what you described but it is a dessert often served at Christmas.

Was the caramel center firm or gooey? Any chocolate with the caramel?

Thank you for asking! Thinking about it - the wafer vs. ritz, these small chocolates did seem more vanilla like, the filling between the wafers/cookies was actually a paper-thin disc of caramel colored something :) Not much help here, but I would bite into the chocolate and this little paper disc thing would stay intact for the most part - sticking out from the remaining half. Hm. Hope this makes sense!

These chocolates appeared to be small vanilla wafers or sugar cookies with something very 'faint' to taste in the center and dipped in white chocolate. Then drizzled with milk or dark chocolate and they looked really nice. She says the recipe is her secret so I feel guilty coming here to ask...but...sheesh......I would share my recipe, even include it with the gift. Ahhh well.....

Any thoughts would be great, I may make some attempts yet was hoping this was some 'famous' simple kitchen treat I had never heard about :) Aren't the yummy things always so simple? (Such as those orange no bake truffles!)  Confused

They could have been mini vanilla wafers or peanut butter Ritz Bitz. If they were mini vanilla wafers she could have warmed them for a few seconds sandwiched with one of the chocolate covered carmels like Junior mints. I can't think of the name of the mini caramels, then squeezed the candy between the cookies to flatten. I'd dip in white almond bark and drizzle with the darker chocolate. Even if this isn't exact it sure would taste good and be pretty.

If they weren't that tiny then they could have been full sized Ritz or full sized vanilla wafers.

I hope you experiment a little with these. They sound so cute. I've made similar last year but used full sized Ritz crackers spread with a little lemon frosting then dipped with white chocolate. They flew off the plate. You could also make these with caramel frosting as the filling too.

I have used to rollo candies on pretzels and put in the oven just a second to melt , remove from oven and cool,   this could be used on a vanilla wafer and dipped in white chocolate

A lady in my church makes something similar to these.  The cookie is like a thin sugar cookie with some form of chocolate in the middle.  She does not coat her cookies with anything, but I bet it would be delicious if she did.  I would love to have the reicpe, but she will not give it out.  It is a family secret.  Sad  She is a lovely lady and a fabulous cook.

I hope you find a recipe that is similiar.
