    Need Recipe For Layered Dip

About ten years ago I use to make a layerd dip that consisted of refried beans with taco seasoning spread on a plate then, if I remember correct layered on top was shredded cheese, avacado etc, does anyone remember or have this recipe. Son in law asked me to make it for Christmas. Thanks in advance. Judy

This is the recipe I use and everyone loves it. It seems like the men just gobble it down. Hope this helps.   MM

    Original Tex-Mex Dip

2 cans (10-1/2 oz. ea.) bean dip or refried beans
3  ripe avocados, mashed with salt, pepper, and lemon juice
    8 ounce sour cream
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1 package taco seasoning mix
1 large bunch green onions, chopped with tops
    3 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 can (6 oz.) chopped ripe olives
    3/4 poung shredded Cheddar cheese
     Large round tortilla chips

On large serving platter or cake plate, spread bean dip.  Top this with mashed
and seasoned avocado.  Mix mayonnaise and taco mix with sour cream and layer
on avocados.  Sprinkle with chopped onions, tomatoes, and olives.  Cover with
shredded cheese.  Serve cold or at room temperature with chips.

SmileIt's funny you should mention this recipe. I was looking for recipes today and came across the version I use.

    Here it is:

    Starting from the bottom:

    1 can refried beans

    1 container guacamole dip

Mix together 1 container (16oz) sour cream with one envelope taco seasoning mix

12 oz of grated cheddar or grated pepper jack

    1 can sliced black olives

    1 small bunch of scallions

    1 tomato diced

     shredded lettuce

This recipe is so versatile you can make it any way you please.
