Security guards have to work a lot of the holidays also.  My husband is a hospital security guard, and this is the first holiday he has been able to celebrate in a few years....but that is because he worked 12 hours Thanksgiving, and also a couple of other 12 hr. shifts close to Thanksgiving.

He also worked a 12 hour shift yesterday and the day before, so I was happy he was able to be with me, our son,  and his mom and sister for Christmas Day.
