    Gevalia Coffee Company

I have several free coffeepots from Gevalia and do like their coffee although I never buy any past my first shipment.  They keep sending me emails, snail mail and phone calls offering me more free things.  How can they do this? I feel guilty taking all their nice free stuff and the coffee, for which I pay a small amount for.  Maybe the items they give aren't worth quite as much as they claim but the coffee itself is probably worth what I pay for the whole shipment.

Loolie, your post made me giggle. LOL

I have been a Gevalia customer for over 20 years and get regular shipments.  The money  I have paid them for their coffee over all those years is the reason you have all those free coffee pots. LOL

Thank you for doing that for me Alabama Nee Nee!! hehe  I am now going to get a free stainless steel coffee cannister and a carafe.  I still feel guilty and I do love their coffee but it is sooo expensive especially with shipping added.

I LUV the Gevalia coffee, and just ordered soem more.  I mix their coffee half & half with Folger's decaf.  I like the Peruvian Organic.  It is pricey?  You danged right!  BUT I AM WORTH IT!

Two things I rather not live without --- Gevalia coffee and dark chocolate!

I just sent off for the coffee pot.  Jim really wanted the coffee pot.  Do you all like the coffee pot.

He doesn't drink a lot of coffee, so I imagine I'll cancell the coffee shipments

I ordered the coffee and pot years ago and then, of course, cancelled the subscription.  I cannot believe that they make money on this because everyone I know has never ordered any more coffee.  However, someone must because they keep doing it.  Certainly there is not fuss or problem when you cancel the future orders.  Strange.....

That's good to know.  Jim was really wanting the coffee maker so I went ahead and ordered it a few days ago.

I know several people who have ordered just to get the free stuff and then cancelled.  I have not done this but I DO believe in good coffee.  We had some wonderful coffee in Mpls. MN at a small cafe a number of years ago and inquired about the coffee and found that it was from a company in Mpls and ordered from there for years until Starbucks came to our town and now we found a whole bean Starbucks that we like very much, Medium Roast Columbian.  We have a Bunn coffee maker and use filtered water and enjoy awesome coffee every day.  As someone else said here, "we are worth it".  A simple pleasure, good coffee.  We only have a couple cups apiece each day so not really that expensive.  If it wasn't this late in the day I'd go make a cup right now.  We now truly believe the secret to good coffee is fresh ground beans each day of a coffee you enjoy, a good coffee pot, and filtered water.

I also used to have one of their carafe coffee pots that I got and then cancelled the coffee.  Unfortunately one day it sort of exploded coffee all over and never worked again.  I got some of their winter blend coffee for Christmas and it was good.

Nindsay~ I am with you though, I love fresh ground coffee-it is just the best!Coffee

I really like the coffee maker.  I have the newer stainless steel/black, and it's great.  I kept up the coffee orders for a little while, but recently quit.  But, this was the first time I've ever kept up the coffee orders; I've probably accepted their orders once or twice before, but this was the first coffee pot I've gotten.  I think in the past I got stainless steel travel mugs.

Anyway, for a free coffeepot, it's fabulous!  You can program it to brew in the am while you are getting up, etc, and it's ready when you come into the kitchen.  Plus, it's really, really simple to program, LOL.  Nothing complicated that makes you want to give up before you get it programmed :)
