    ISO recipe for chocolate gravy

Hello everyone...I have a friend that has just tried chocolate gravy.  I thought I had saved a recipe but, of course, can't find it now.

Please, if you have a recipe, share it with me!

    Thanks so much!

    Chocolate Gravy

    1/2 cup butter
    4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup white sugar
    2 cups milk
    1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    2. Add cocoa and flour; stir until a thick paste is formed.
    3. Stir in sugar and milk.
    4. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
    5. Serve over buttered biscuits or buttered toast

Thank you both!  I've never had this but it sure sounds interesting.  I may have to try it...like I needed to learn to like anything else!  LOL!

    Have a blessed weekend!

Here is a family favorite for a special treat!  Suziee

     Chocolate Gravy

    1 cup sugar
1 slightly heaping tbsp Hershey’s Cocoa
    1 heaping tbsp flour
    1 cup whole milk
    dash salt
    1 tsp vanilla

Mix sugar, cocoa and flour together well in a
non-stick pot. Stir in milk and salt. Cook on medium to high heat until thick while stirring…be patient! Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Serve over open-face hot buttered biscuits…guaranteed to make your family beg for more! Smile

Chocolate Gravy - I discovered Chocolate Gravy at a roadside restaurant in Harrison, AR about 3 years ago. Had never heard of it. The waitress brought me a sample of it. Nothing would do but for me to hurry home and find a recipe for it. I gained so much weight trying those recipes only to find out I only liked it because it was so much like chocolate pudding, just thinned down. My SIL is from Searcy and she grew up on it.
