The board has been quiet today.
I hope Nancy and Russell and Deb and Danny all got home safely from their trips.
I had a rough commute getting home. It had rained most of the day, but when I got down to the lobby, I saw there was ice on the trees. It looked pretty, but I knew it would be dangerous. Starting out, the roads didn't look too bad, but the longer I drove, the worse they got. On the highway, I was behind a semi and we were only going about 40 mph. Others were going faster, but not me. There was one road in my town that gets icy so I was going slow. A car coming from the other direction started honking his horn. I realized he was sliding, but I wasn't stopping because I was afraid I would slide. He only missed me by a couple of inches, so it was a good thing I didn't stop; otherwise he would have slid into me. I got home safely, but it was scary. I had a message when I got home. My sis-in-law had called checking on me. I called, but no answer. She called me back. Maggie stayed after school, so Suzanne had to go get her. I was surprised they didn't cancel all school activities. My brother is teaching tonight and he was hoping they were going to cancel class, but I don't think they did. I hope he will get home okay. They said to expect more sleet/snow until midnight, so I'm sure tomorrow morning's commute will be bad, too.
We did get moved at work, but I was working on a document and didn't want to stop until I was done with it. So I didn't get up there until it was almost time to leave. So I didn't really get unpacked or settled.
Everybody have a good evening.
