Good Morning all. Sorry I missed you all Monday morning. Sunday night was order night and I had a ton of charts to review. I'm feeling better. Still not 100% - maybe 80%. Uff da, hate having the crud. At least I only missed one day. Probably should have been 2 or 3 but I woke up too late Saturday and Sunday's are order nights and there are only 3 of us that can do it and the other two were gone. I slept all day Monday and would have taken it easy yesterday too except I had to do laundry - after 2 loads I went down to find a good 3 inches of sewer backup in my basement!!! EEEEWWWW!! Spent the day cleaning that up. I've a couple fans going right now and as soon as it dries up will scrub it up real well with a mild bleach solution. I had a good workout tho - many, many trips of hauling buckets of ick up and outside.

Hauke, what did you think of The Biggest Loser??? I'm sad one of the girls will have to go. I was sooo very glad to see that girl (I forget her name) take top spot tho. I was hoping Dan would have to go to elimination. I really don't like him. He's too mouthy. Didn't like his mom either. I'm not enjoying this season as much as I have in the past. They focus too much on "the game" and seem to have forgotten why they are really there. Too much crud this year. I was suprised at how badly the tables turned when Bob made the new "teams" and now that they are one on one with each other, they all still act like they are teams. I really hope that girl from the former pink team whoops the guy's tushies!

Rebecca, good luck with the doctor's office. I really hope you are able to find a better job. How's Paige doing?? My NSDD is going to the State Solo/Ensamble for a trio. She got firsts on her solo and duet.

Well, I'll try to make it back later

    Love and Fuzzies!

    Morning...

It worries me if I come to the DC at 730 my time... 930 eastern... and I'm the second person in the room.

Did the east coast fall into the ocean?  Or did you have another really bad storm and everyone lost power?

    Helloo.....  anyone there?

Mary, everything OK at your house.  It's not like you to miss coffee with Michele.  Sure hope no one is sick.

Michele, sounds like you're getting over the "ugg"  Glad you survived your busy night - and I trust your coffee was "awakening" even with your usual coffee buddy.

Marge, today is surgery day!  You're in my prayers.

Well, I smell coffee at my house.  I'll be back later.

Mary - I'm glad your mother's eye dr. appt. went so well yesterday.

Doris - You had a very long day yesterday.  I hope you get everything done on Thursday.  So many here at work have said how tired they've been this week, me included.  It's only one hour but it really messed me up.

Michele - I'm sorry to hear about the sewer back-up.  What a mess. I'm glad you are feeling a bit better.  Hope you are 100% soon.  Congratulations to your NSDD on making the trio contest for choir.

Hauke - I had a hard time getting in here this morning.  It kept saying something about the server and codes and stuff.  But it seems to be working now.

Yes, lots of prayers going up for Marge and the surgery team.  I hope it all goes well for her.

We've had a quiet morning here at work.  Some of us discovered when we got our new computers last week that not everything got loaded on.  So we've been having the IT group add in the missing programs.  I think I'm all set now.  We don't use all these programs all the time, but it is nice to have them when we need them.

We are supposed to get to 50 degrees today.  If so, I think I will walk outside rather than go to the gym.  They are calling for rain tomorrow and Friday, so I may have to go back to the gym at least one of those days.  I still haven't done 5 days a week yet.  I feel like I'm never going to get to that level.

Thanks Joyce for mention that the BB was down for a bit while I was still sleeping.  Well, I'm glad it's back up and running.  I hadn't even considered that possibility as to why everyone was MIA - I thought maybe a massive power outage due to some storm.

Michele, I feel for you and that mess of a sewer back up.  Only good thing is that it happened when you were home and it's not something you came home to one morning after a long nights work.

Looks like we're in for another sunny day with some warms temps.  Another day or two of this and all our snow will be gone.  I almost hate to say that as I saw pictures over the weekend of how high to snow is piled in the East.

Just realized it's Wednesday... and I forgot to step on the scales.  Maybe I'm just trying to avoid them.  LOL

    Good morning, everyone.

HAUKE, I guess the board was down until around 8 am. I didn't try to get on until now, so no problem, here. Not seeing MARY is a surprise.

MICHELE, hope your body is perking up, by now. Basement mess is not too good. Been there, done that.

JOYCE, even a seldom used program is missed when you really need it. The shortcuts are so good. Let's enjoy the rise in temps. I walked outside yesterday and will today, also.

Luncheon for me, today. It's the meeting of the retired Kindergarten teachers. Lots of old ladies. LOL

Prayers for MARGE and the doctors and surgical team.

    GM!

I awoke with a stuffy head and coughing this morning.  Now I have the back door trots.  Looks like I'm going into round 2 of this crud!  Enough already.

Prayers and good thoughts for Marge and her family.  Also for the surgical team attending to her.

I had an e-mail from David last night.  Dee is doing a bit better.  Also had an e-mail from Angie (Oneda's DD).  Oneda isn't doing real well.  They took her off of oxygen yesterday morning but had to put her back on it last night.  Both gals are still in the hospital.

I made the best pork chop dish Monday night.  I got the recipe off of the recipe BB.

I add a little oil to the frying pan then I add

1 medium chopped onion then I brown 4 porkchops in with the onions, transfer the chops to a 9x13 pan. Salt and pepper the chops

In the frying pan with the onions I add 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can of milk, stir till heated thur, then pour over the chops, on top of the chops I put  shredded cabbage, salt and pepper, cover tightly with foil , Bake in 350 oven for 1 hour.

The cabbage cooks down , I use about 4 cups of  shredded cabbage, DH and I really like this dish, have doubled the amounts and served to company and it was a hit, if your doubling it, I use 2 pans. You can also instead of cream of mushroom soup use cream of celery. Hope you like it. Judy

Last night I made some Cincinnati Chili for tomorrow since today is a meatless day.  I would post the recipe but the darn search isn't working again!!!!!!!

I've met Mt. Washagain this morning.  I'm going to hand my jeans outside.  YEAH!  It's a beautiful day here.

I guess I'd better start thinking about something for lunch.  The noon whistle just blew.  I may be having liquid jello.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Wow!!  After 1pm and still no Mary.  Sure hope everything is OK at her house.

Michele, yuck!!  What a mess to have to clean up especially when you are not feeling up to par.  Congrats to NSDD on making it to State Finals!!!!

Nancy, I hope you enjoyed your luncheon with the "old  ladies"!!LOL  Enjoy this spurt of nice temps.

hauke, I am still laughing at you trying to find the early morning gals!!  I got on the scales this morning and sure wish I hadn't!!  The # was higher than I've seen in 2 months.  But, Tuesday am the # was right in line, so I'm thinking today was just a blip on the screen.

Joyce, sounds like you are making a lot of headway in your new work area.  Having the tools needed always helps, even if you don't use then often.  Maybe with some nicer temps you can increase your walking days.

Carol, you are sure getting the crud!!  Glad to hear that Dee is feeling alittle better, but sorry about your other friend.  This would be a great day to hang out some wash.  That pork chop recipe sounds really good.  Did you post it in our recipe thread?

Doris, what a long day you guys had.  Glad your next day of Dr appts will be alittle shorter.  Sounds like you will get to do some shopping too.

Monday was a catch up day for me, and I had to attend a 2pm meeting at work.  Talk about messing up the day!!LOL  Then, Tuesday morning, they called and asked me to work 2nd shift as a cashier, so that shot yesterday!!   Danny did get laundry washed and dried for me, so all I had to do was fold and put it away.  This morning, we did the grocery shopping-wow!! are prices ever jumping, and with the price of diesel fuel surpassing regular gas, it can only get worse.  We did get our reduced sodium corned beef briskets-2 of them so we have one in the freezer, and the cabbage so we are set for dinner on Monday.  Love that corned beef and cabbage dinner!!!

Talked with my sis yesterday, and now it looks like the family vacation will be in Hawaii.  Of course, that could change at any given time.  We still have to find out from our brother and his wife if they want Hawaii.  My mom wants only a cruise or to spend time in Cabo San Lucas, something Danny wants no part of.  What a pickle.  Could end up that Danny and I will be on our own and end up in San Diego.  Hmmmmmm

Well, time to get ready for work.  See you all later.

    Deb

    Hi Everyone,

I couldn't get on the BB this AM, so I got kinda busy and forgot to post, till now. Ron had a Dr. appointment with the specialist in Urology. I didn't go along for this appointment.  I was not really up to par this morning, so I decided to stay home.  This trip to the Urologist is another story for Ron, but one that alot of men suffer from and can be easily fixed.  He has to have some minor surgury late March, but the surgury will correct his problem and he should feel alot better.

Mom is doing okay too. It seems the mornings are alittle rough, but once you get past that, the day is better.  These colds and crud are nasty.

Hauke, I forgot to get on the scale this AM.  But I was on the scale yesterday, and thanks to having the runs for nearly a week now...I lost the four pounds I gained from last week....LOL  I will check tomorrow morning and see what I weigh.

Just wanted to check in with everyone and say hi.  I will be back later.

    Mary

    Hello Everyone!

I bet you wondered if I was ever to return.  My life is not my own.  Kristy has required alot of my time but it has been so worth it.  John has completely bonded with me and so has Alex.  Carter and I took one look at each other at birth and love at first sight.

I'm there alot.  Kris is ao tired and had a little morning sickness so 'Mom to the rescue'.  Not like it is when it's your first pregnancy and you can sleep when you want.  Three little ones need constant attention.

Pulled something in my shoulder when lifting the 'bop' boys.  Yikes.  Been going to the Chiropractor.....ewwwww. Painful.  Better and better.

Took Isabelle to first ballet lesson at age 4.  We can watch from the seats. When she saw the instructor she teared all up.  He was a gigantic black man and Isa was so scared.  He was really nice and finally she went in.  He had the 3 girls bend over and touch their toes.  Isabelle had a hard time and legs had to bend and butt went out...so cute.  Molly's eyes got big and a big grin appeared.  She said 'Where's the popcorn?'   Almost died trying not to laugh. Well she may not be ballet material yet but she was the cutest.

We will find out the sex of the baby next week.  Yea!

Larry and I are leaving for San Antonio, Texas in the morning.  Never seen the Alamo or the Riverwalk.   Will be gone 4 days.

I am going alone to Scotland in middle of May for 2 weeks.  Going to visit with my friend Jeanni who came to visit last year. She said to bring good walking shoes cause we are going to walk Scotland. She is taking me to the island of Skye.  Am really excited but will worry about kristy when I'm gone.

Now for catch up.  What are they doing to Marge? Surgery?  fill me in on everything if you can.

Love you all.......sorry to be gone so long......Robin

    Hi Everyone,

Robin, it is so nice to hear from you!! Sounds like you are one busy grandmom!!! Sounds like the kids are all doing well, growing fast and keeping you young!!! My son sent me pictures from the Alamo and it looked quite interesting.  Your trip to Scotland sounds wonderful too. Hugs to you and all the kids!!!

Michelle, what a mess to clean up....especially when you are sick!! I hope you are feeling better.  Congradulations to NSDD for making to the State Finals!!!! I sure wish her the best!!!

Deb, that family vacation to Hawaii sounds WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!  Hawaii was always some place I would love to visit. I hope all the plans are systems go for you and making that trip.  You might have to "trick" Danny.....LOL

Carol, sorry you are having the crud and the back door thing.  I am somewhat better today, but have had the run for almost a week now. The recipe you posted sounds so good.  I can't make cabbage for Ron and I miss it.  Maybe I could cut the recipe in half and make it for Mom and I.

Nancy, it is time for spring and warmer temps...Ours was in the mid 30's and we had snow flurries this morning...so I am still waiting for the warm temps..LOL

Wishing you ALL a GREAT Evening.

    Mary

    Hi All!

DORIS ~ No union, this is just hourly. Many don't come back after the first day. My arms are black and blue with bruises, paper cuts, etc. I will go Friday morning for a cortisone shot in my left hand and ring finger to help the carpal tunnel. He will do surgery after this semester and after I find a different job.

Michele ~ Paige is doing beautifully, thank you for asking. Doug's parents are enroute to WV from St. Louis as I type to see her perform in her biggest competition Saturday. We are going to Doug's tonight for lasagna dinner and we will make posters. The city police are giving the show choir bus a lighted police escort Saturday morning from the school to the highway and us parents will stand on the sidewalk with the signs cheering before getting into our cars.

You all sound so busy. I bet many of you are waiting for spring, I know I am.

Well, off to do chores and homework.

    Hugs to all!

Nancy - It was nice enough for me to walk outside today.  It was very nice.  I didn't even have a jacket on.  What a beautiful day.  I hope you had a nice time at the lunch.

Carol - I'm so sorry you are sick again.  You never really fully recovered from the last round.  I hope you are 100% very soon.  Thank you for the pork chop recipe.  It souns very good.

Deb - Yes, I'm sure the number on your scales was just a fluke or maybe you are retaining water or something.  I'm hoping the nicer weather will get me outside walking more.  I really do enjoy that much more than walking in the gym, even with my music.  Work really confused your schedule this week, huh?  Gas prices are out of this world and they say it is going to get worse before it gets better.  I don't even want to guess where they will be this summer.  A Hawaiian vacation sounds nice, but you do want everybody to be happy with the decision and that is hard to do sometimes.  I hope you can all agree on something.

Robin - Its good to see you.  Enjoy you trip to San Antonio.  I bet you are looking forward to your trip to Scotland.  I'm sorry Kris isn't feeling well, but I've heard that means the baby is healthy, so it is a good thing in the end.

Mary - I hope the surgery will help Ron.

Rebecca - I had a "trigger finger" last fall.  I had a cortisone shot and it is good as new.  No more problems at all.  So I hope the shot will help you, too.  Good luck to Paige and the choir for this weekend's competition.

    Everybody have a good evening.
