Cake:
1 pkg. plain yellow cake mix
8 tbs. butter, melted
1c. milk
3 large eggs
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Pudding:
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
3c. milk
4tbs. butter, cut up
2tsp. pure vanilla extract
4c. sliced bananas
Topping:
12oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2c. crushed vanilla wafers
Preheat to 350º. Lightly spray 9x13" baking pan w/ nonstick spray. Set aside. Place cake ingredients in bowl. Blend 1 min. Scrape sides. Increase speed for 2 min. Pour into pan. Bake 30-33 min.
Prepare pudding. Place pudding mix and milk in med. saucepan. Fold in butter and vanilla. Cook on low, stirring til butter melts. Remove from heat and cool 5 min. Fold in banana slices.
To assemble the cake, spoon pudding and banana mixture on top of cooled cake. Spread out to edges of cake.
Cover pudding with whipped topping. Scatter cookies over top.
Serve at room temp.
