    Hi I'm new here

    Hi everyone!

My name is Juli and I'm new to this site. I loved the name of this group! It reminded me of a comfortable old shop where you go to sip tea and meet with friends.

I'm 43 and a single mom to one son Named Al. I work as a caretaker and baker. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

If there is anything you would like to know feel free to ask :)

    hugs

    Juli

    Hi Carole

Thanks for the welcome :) what part of Mississippi do you live in? I was born in Corinth  although I dont remember much of it lol I moved to Ohio when I was 3 and I've been here ever since. I live about 20min out of Cleveland.

I also love to cook and bake...I'm not much into hot and spicy though...that's my son's thing :)

    Re: Hi I'm new here

    Hello Juli,

Welcome to the Tea Room, which is a comfy place to visit and chat as we Tea Angels,as we call ourselves, are a very congenial group of gals. You said you work as a caretaker and a baker - are you working as a professional baker and also, do you care for someone outside your home?

I live in Washington state, north of Seattle on Whidbey Island. My DH Howard is semi-invalid and so I am his caretaker, but I get lots of help from our daughter who lives with us in her own apartment downstairs. She loves to garden and so do I, but I do most of my gardening in planters on our deck....while she gets to dig in the dirt in the yard. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading and do some quilting when I can find the time.

Mary, our tea hostess, will welcome you soon to our tea room. Join us often and tell us more about yourself. Welcome -

    Anne

    Hi Anne

    Thanks for the welcome :)

I work for a nurses registry doing scheduling part time and I take care of my mom who is having some issues with her arthritis and diabetes. Thank God her mind is sound and we are best of friends but I do most of the things that need to be done here in the home. So I guess I'm more of a homemaker/caretaker/daughter/mother woman of all hats kind of girl lol

I like to garden too but where I like I too do the porch variety. Hanging plants and such.

I love to cook and bake and a friend of mine has a customer base that she bakes pies for and I make muffins but that's basically during the holidays or important dates.

I look forward to getting to know everyone :)

    Hugs

    Juli

Good Morning Julie! I am delighted to meet you and I look forward to sharing a cup of tea with you. I write as often as possible in a 'Good Morning' post. We have many friends here who are caregivers so you have found much company along the road. The TEa Room began with a tea cup swap and from there the Tea Room blossomed. I live in MI with my DH Alan [our post office professional] and DS Aaron [who is going to school for nursing]. The exploration and enjoyment of the world of tea is close to my heart. I like to think that no matter what captures the day, it is met with familiar ritual and that special spark of happiness that attends something so pleasant. Please make yourself comfortable and get to know all of our wonderful tea family. Your friend, Mary

Juli!  It is so nice to see some new blood in our tea room.  I'm sure you will enjoy every minute you spend in here.  Everyone is so nice and they really do care and come to the rescue when you need them.  I hope you won't be a stranger and even more hope you will post some of those recipes for the baked items you make.  We love recipes!!

I am Kathy.  I live in Southern California with my husband.  We have two grown children who are off and independent now.  If I had my way, they would move back into our cul-de-sac so I could see them everyday.
