    Models 3040, 3735, 5025, 5070, and 5445
    Manufactured between January 1999 and May 2002
    If you purchased one of these Rival® Slow Cookers, stop using it immediately.
    Rival will replace the slow cooker base only of your model.
    Please DO NOT dispose of the lid and the stoneware insert.

    Both my mother and I had one of these models. I went to the Rival website and it was quite easy to take care of everything. I think there are certain serial numbers required that you might want to locate so you'll need your crockpot closeby. We got our replacement pots in a very timely manner. As you say, it's just the pot, so you'll need to keep the lid and crock to go into the new base.
