  • Sandwich Saturday

"Making daily bagged lunches for my family was such a chore that I began a practice I call Sandwich Saturday. Once a month, the four of us get together to create several dozen sandwiches in assembly-line fashion. I put out four or five freezer-friendly sandwich fillings. Then, we prepare the sandwiches, wrap them in heavy-duty foil, label them and store them in the freezer for fast lunch packing. We share stories, the children learn kitchen skills, we save money and a big chore is completed at the same time."

What a great idea!  My kids are all grown now, but this would have been such a timesaver back when my kids were in school!  You could probably do their snacks the same way too.

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

If you think your dog can't count, try putting 3 dog biscuits in your pocket, then give your dog only 2 of them!

Can you tell us what types of sandwich fillings work best for freezing?  Sounds like a great idea to save precious time in the mornings!

How do you thaw them out without the bread becoming stale and /or soggy?
