I was preping for dinner guests last weekend and found little "shelf stable" (like in juice boxes) or half nad half -- maybe 4 oz - but great when you need "just a little" half and half (I needed 2 tbsp for a recipe and the rst for coffee drinkers - perfect amount!!!!
The Dollar Tree often has odd things like this. I am usually a little cautious about buying food products there, but you cannot beat their prices on spices! And they will often have those odd types of gourmet foods that cost a fortune in the regular grocery store.

If you think your dog can't count, try putting 3 dog biscuits in your pocket, then give your dog only 2 of them!
I haven't found anything like the 4oz half and half (which would be very convenient!), but I love Dollar Tree for gift bags, cards, bows and mylar balloons.
We have a flower shop in our town that sells mylar balloons for $3.50 each. I saw the owner's mom buying a bundle of them at Dollar Tree!
I also buy Faygo soda there for my son. I can't find it at any other place around us.
I also bought the small box of half and half that was shelf stable this summer when I was there and I have used it in a receipe calling for only a 1/4 cup. Will stock up on more when I shop there the next time. I also like their pretzels sticks that they carry, very crisp.
i had a favorite shade of eyeshadow that l'oreal no longer makes. i checked at mac and at sephora (high end cosmetics stores) couldn't find an exact match, and the closest ones were from 12 to 24 dollars!!! i figured well, that's the end of that. went to the dollar tree for animal crackers for hubby, and a tube of colgate toothpaste, and THERE was the exact shade of eyeshadow, right down to the little mineral flecks in it ! i was almost as happy as if i'd won the lottery, ha ha!!
I love going there for the 2 gallon ziplock bags (although this summer I found 2.5 gallon ones). I usually buy 10 boxes-enough to last till the next summer. They sit on the pantry shelf till I need them. So many things fit in them. I also love the giftwraps, bows, cards, etc.
This past summer the hallmark store in our town closed, I've wondered if it was because people can get their giftwrap stuff cheaper from the dollar store!

When my daughter and I were shopping, she wanted to find some gift bags that she said you could use a blow dryer on them and it looks professionally shrink-wrapped. We found them at the Dollar Tree! She bought them to use for her home-based business, and I bought a few to use for general gifts (think they will work great to give away some Christmas goodies).
I don't think I got any thing terrific but I was there looking for little things I could put in my GK's Advent Calendars. I was disappointed I couldn't find any cute barretts for our 3-year old GD. I did find some little treats that would fit - the pockets are around 2x3". After reading this, I wish I ran across the shrinkable bags..sounds like they'd be handy for some Christmas gift baskets.
